My hands trembled at the realization. Maria turned pale beside me. She had mentioned spying on Sophie a few times. Why didn't anyone warn me about Sophie when they suspected she wasn't safe to be around?
“It all makes sense now…” she muttered and I lifted a brow in confusion. What makes sense? “....she never liked anyone. She hated hanging out with us and anytime the pack needed saving while the rest of us ran around, she was nowhere to be found. But I bed she was helping the enemy behind the scenes. And my brother is too f*****g stupid to see it.” The gritted the last bit out.
My eyes went back to the book in my hands then at the note. What was she thinking writing the note herself?
“We have to tell Lennox about this. Your brother is too upset to think clearly right now…” I said
