Chapter six
Damien got to the spot where he told Rasmus to meet him . He got there and saw Rasmus was already there .
" Oh welcome Damien , so why did you call me here ?" Rasmus asked as if he didn't know why he was invited.
. " Rasmus I called you to warn you , stay away from Beverly or else ."
" Or else what ? " Rasmus asked and chuckled .
" Rasmus between you and I you know you are no match for me ."
" That was once upon a time but now I know I can take you down , you call your self the devil king and yes that is true but guess what , I don't care . What I am sure of is that I would take you down ."
" Ohh I'm scared , the demon king is threatening to ruin me , what do I do now ?" Damien said teasingly and smirked am all Rasmus did was chuckled .
" You think I want to ruin you ... I already have ." Rasmus said and vanished .
Damien was shocked by his boldness of Rasmus saying he already ruined him , and he knew Rasmus was good with tricks but not as good as he was .

Damien got back to the palace the next morning and saw that the ball room was almost set for the coronation , so he went to Beverly room to check up on her .
He walked in and saw she was dressed up or maybe almost .
" No courtesy." Beverly muttered under her breath when she saw him come in .
" Good morning to you too ." He said instead .
" What if I was naked , is that how you would have walked in ." She asked annoyed at him .
" Well if you want me to be honest , it would have been a great view and I wouldn't have to eat for the rest of the day because the view would have been enough." He said and smirked when he saw the look on her face .
" Get out !! I'm not done dressing."
" Need any help ?" He asked when he saw she was struggling to zip up her dress .
" No , I'm fine she lied ."
" You know lying is bad especially to me , I'm and human lie detector you know ." Even he felt weird because he said lying is bad , it was not supposed to come from someone like him ..
He moved closer to her and turned her around making her back facing him .He zipped up her dress and placed his hand on her shoulder.
" Th..... Thank you " she muttered feeling butterflies as his hands were placed in her bare shoulder because the dress is a strapless gown .
" You look breath taking." He leaned in and whispered into her ear .
His words reminded her of Rosan , her best friend , she never knew she could miss him so much .
She wiped the tears that was threatening to fall and just stood there speechless.
" What's wrong Beverly." Damien asked .
" My life is a mess ." She sobbed .
" What do you mean by that ." He asked as if he didn't know what she meant .
" I can't believe you're asking me that question , you're the reason my life is ruined Damien , you took my home away from me and took me away from that one person that truly loves me , he's probably wondering where I am ." She said choked by tears not wanting to let any more out . Damien felt shattered by her words but he didn't let it show . He pulled her closer to him and hel her thought , she tried to break free but his arms was too strong so she melted in his embrace instead .
" I promise to bring your friend to you tomorrow, so please wipe those tears off your face ."
" Really you promise ."
" Sure ." He said and pecked her cheeks .
" Now get ready for the coronation, I'll also get dressed ." He said and turned to leave .
" Damien ." She called behind him
" Hmm" he answered
" I........ I can't wear my shoe , would you please help me ." Damien smiled at how adorable she looked when she is shy . Something he rarely does and any time he smiles it was never harmless but this time it is real .
" Ok , I'll help you ." He said and took the shoe from her .
As Damien was helping her with the shoe she spotted the scar on his face and was eigher to ask how it got there but she held back . She just sat there quietly and watched as he helped her with her shoe . He finished after sometime and got up
" Thank you ." She muttered .
" You're welcome ................. Wife ." He said and smirked then left for his chamber to get dressed .
Beverly sat there surprised at her self because she didn't feel uncomfortable with him calling her wife .

The ceremony started and after sometime Damien and Beverly got pronounced as king and queen .
People were dancing chatting and singing then everything fell silent when the entrance opened and a man opened , Damien recognized him immediately with his heel boot that clicked on the glass floor , he reached the front of Damien's throne .
" I wouldn't miss my brother's coronation for the world ." He said and bowed slightly.
" What is it that you want ?" Damien sent to his brother telepathically.
" Wow I guess you're still as smart as ever , anyways glad you asked , we need to talk ." He answered him the same way .
" Ok you guys carry out with the ceremony, I need to attend to my new guest ." He said and stood .
" But I can't stay here alone all by my self ." Beverly quickly said .
" Awwn missing me already ? You can go to your room if you like ." He said and patted her head , he left afterwards with his brother and Beverly also left for her room .

" What do you want Drex ? " Damien asked , knowing well that his brother was around for something else .
" It's father . " Drex answered
" What about him ? "
" He said he wants you to come back home or else he would take away Shadowfell and would deny you as the ruler ."
" He can't do that , he gave me the title Lucifer because he knows I am the one worth to take over his title , he can't just take away the most powerful out of my seven kingdoms."
" He said if you don't, he would have to do it his own way ."
" Which is ? " Damien asked
" Your new puppet, Beverly." Drex said .
" Well tell him this , if he tries to do anything stupid, I would no longer hesitate. Once you tell him , he would understand."
" You're one crazy devil ." Drex said and vanished .
