That woman just never fails to piss me off and amaze me at the same time, I can still remember how confident she was back in the court thinking she could really take me down, she thinks a young inexperienced prosecutor like her could send me to jail..
It was quite obvious the DA's office gave her this case so she could take the fall, but she even dares to challenge me, and humiliate me in court, and that was when I promised myself I was going to make her life a living hell.
To the extent her herself would want to end everything and finally be at peace, she thought she could cage me, now I would show her who really has all the power, welcome to Hell Sienna Cross.
Suddenly a knock came from the door bringing me out of my trains of thoughts "come in" I ordered taking a sip from my mug, Luna slowly opened the door and walked in before she closed it again.
She walked to where I was seated before she greeted "Morning Maddox" her deep voice came, I only hummed in response pointing to the seat that was facing mine, Luna sat down on the seat before she started speaking.
"I followed the Route you provided and was able to track some of the missing goods" she explained "when should we retrieve them Maddox?" She questioned looking at me.
"Retrieving them now will give our enemies the hint that we know all the other routes, so let's wait for their next move before we make ours, if I am right I think they would try to move them, and that would be our perfect time to strike at once and take them" I stated my voice dipping low and serious.
Luna nodded in understanding "okay then I would inform the others to get ready and wait for your orders" Luna whispered pushing herself up from the seat.
"I wanted to ask you something" she whispered looking at me, I looked up at her before I sip from my mug "what do you want to ask Luna" I questioned, she looked worried... Did something bad happen?
"That counselor" she said meeting my gaze, a smirk found its way to my face as I remembered her, "what about her" I asked my voice lower than usual.
"I heard what happened from Rook... Why do you want her to stay here Maddox?" She questioned still looking at me, I sighed before I kept the mug I was holding on the table.
"Why do you get tattoos Luna?" I questioned looking at the tattoos on her neck, I know she has a lot more than that "because I want too?" She replied obviously confused why I was asking her that.
I nodded as I sat back "well I am also keeping her here because I want too, so never question my decision again Luna" I said, Luna was quiet for a while before she slowly nodded "okay Maddox" she whispered.
"I will get going" she whispered without another word she turned and headed for the door, I Watched as she exited the room before I stood up, I know she is just worried, but sometimes she is a bit too worried about everything.
That's why she is always overthinking... Luna is like a sister to me, and I guess she cares about me as much as I care about her, I walked to my closet and picked an outfit.
"Hmm I guess I have to clear some space in here" I whispered to myself smiling as I looked at the closet, it was full of my clothes but now that Sienna is moving here and obviously staying in my room I have to clear some space for her ..... Or let her do it herself?
I closed the closet before, I headed for the shower, according to the prosecutors in the DA's office Sienna is really smart, but I don't think she is, a smart person wouldn't have done what she did..... She completely forgot who was at the disadvantage.
A man who had nothing to lose or a young prosecutor who had a sick mother in the hospital, I guess she was too Confident to even look at those disadvantages.
The moment I found out she had a sick mother in the hospital, I made my move.... What Sienna doesn't know it's I knew about that case even before she did, I was fully prepared.
Immediately she lost the case and we walked out of the courtroom I filled cases against her, I knew she would come begging, I wanted to put her in the situation where she would kill her own pride and ego, and I guess her mother matters so much cause she did.
She came running back, Sleeping with her wasn't part of the plan though, that just happened, I didn't know she went to such places, I didn't thought I would meet her in the club but they she was seated and drinking like any person who just destroyed her entire career would.
I took a hot shower before I got dressed, I have important things to do, I mean the cases she fired against me was a bit too much, I didn't even know I did some of those things.... So I better start digging how my name got involved.
Immediately I was back in the bedroom a knock came from the door, "come in" I ordered walking to the nightstand to get my phone, Luna walked in again this time she was holding a tray with breakfast arranged on it.
I furrowed my brows as I looked at her, this isn't the first time she is bringing me food but she usually brings me lunch, not breakfast, Luna didn't say anything she just kept the food and turned about to leave.
What's her deal?
"Luna" I called stopping her dead in her tracks, "what's happening really?" I questioned starting to get a bit worried, she turned and shook her head as if saying nothing was wrong "nothing" she whispered, I know she is lying but I just nodded and let her leave.
She slowly closed the door behind her, unlike some people who obviously want me to get a new door...
I walked to the tray of food and looked at it, she didn't know how to cook so obviously the chefs prepared it, what's up with her though?
