I angrily glared at him before I turned about to leave he said I should move in before 4 in the evening so i should start packing right? I also have to stop by the hospital and check on my mother.
"Don't be late" Maddoxs deep voice came, I didn't reply I just opened the door and slammed it shut, I looked at the hallway remember how I left and returned a while ago "life isn't fair" I whispered as I started walking towards the stairs.
I should also go to the DA's office, I have to talk to him again maybe there is another way we can send Maddox to jail for his crimes, maybe he was able to find more info or some witnesses, although I am currently not working a new lawyer can take on the case and send him to jail.
I sighed knowing that is impossible, after what happened to me no one would be so stupid to go against Maddox Kane, I walked out of the mansion door and headed for the gates... Wait if I remember correctly According to the case file Maddox's house is located outside the City... So how the hell would I get a taxi and go back home.
Instead of turning back and asking him to give me a ride back home or even ask one of his drivers to do it... I slowly continued walking and open the gate, I would rather walk back home than ask that bastard for a favor.
I slammed the gates shut behind me before I turned and looked at the obviously dangerous mansion, isn't even living in a place like this enough evidence that he is a criminal? I mean who would leave in such a big mansion outside the city outskirts, with such a large security, it's not like he is a politician or something.
"You think you can trap me Maddox Kane, well I will bring you done from the inside" an evil smile found it's way to my face as I continued looking at the mansion, I would make him regret ever thinking he could toy with me.
I Sienna Cross won't back down that easily "it's the mansion that captivating?" An unfamiliar voice came, I quickly turned curious to see who it was, the person standing behind me was a tall obviously well built man, he had short black hair, and charming hazel eyes, he is ..... Handsome.
He had a smile on his face as he took another step forward looking at me "I wonder why the counselor paid us a visit?" He muttered still keeping that friendly smile on his face, I glared at him up and down, he does look a bit dangerous, but he also has that warm vibe and cool aura.
"And who are you?" I questioned raising an eyebrow, the man widened his eyes like he was surprised by my question, "wait you don't know me? I thought I was really famous" he murmured but it sounded like he was talking to himself.
I wanted to ignore him and just leave but before I could even move he stepped forward again offering his hand for a handshake "I am Rook, the viper king's VP" he said his smile becoming wider.
So he is also related to that bastard, I bit back the urge to laugh out of anger and just glared at him, does he really thinks I am going to shake that hand of his? Well he must be dreaming.
I glared at him one last time before I walked pass him, I have far more important things to do than to chat with some Rook guy, "wait" he called as he stared at me, I ignored him and continued walking.
"You can't leave here by foot it's too dangerous you might get attacked by some crooks" he muttered sounding genuinely concerned, I wanted to ignore him and continue walking.... But wait... I can't die or get harmed... What will my mother do?
I took in a deep breath as I slowly turned and faced his, his eyes were filled with worry as he looked at me.... But I won't be fooled by that innocent face, the people with the innocent face are usually the real villains.
"I am not riding a bike though!"I shouted knowing he must be talking about giving me a ride on a bike, he laughed a bit throwing his head back ..... And that was sort of a beautiful sight.
"That's why I brought that" he said pointing to the other direction, I furrowed my brows as I followed his fingers and looked at the direction, a black hellcat was parked there.
"Let's get going then" I whispered realizing I don't really have much of a choice, before he could respond I started walking towards the car, he jogged a little and opened the door for me.... Wait is he now acting like a gentleman.
I gasped before I sat in the car, he winked at me before he closed the door and jogged to the drivers side, does he really thinks such small tricks would fool me into thinking he is the good guy.
He entered the car and tightened his seatbelt and that's when I also tightened mine..... Wait but how can I even trust this guy, he might not really be the man he claimed he was, I mean it's not like he walked out of the mansion he just appeared behind me.
I glanced at him as he started the car, I swallowed hard realizing he might be the real tug, what is he planning to do with me, just when I was already planning to punch him in the eye and run out of the car my eyes landed on some sort of batch.... It obviously belongs to the vipers because it had there sign on it.
Beneath the sign a name was written "Rook" I whispered as I looked at the name, as if he was reading my mind he whispered "you didn't believe I was together with the vipers did you?" He questioned, I sat back down as I looked out the window completely ignoring his question.
He should just drive safely so I can get home safe and sound, I don't really give a s**t who he is, I would never trust a person who works here and looks this innocent, he must be the real devil in disguise.
