Declan's pov
Sitting on the chair had already become taxing. I pushed out the agreement forms for the the Alpha Summit, my eyes landed on one of the name of one of the packs that were supposed to attend this year, The Crimson Gremlin pack.
If I remembered correctly, they had also been one of the packs who had lost their alpha too and the Alpha's Summit with them was fast approaching.
The Alpha Summit was a kind of Alpha ceremony, teaching new Alphas recognized by the council the way things worked. I expected nothing of it, most likely going to be another boring show.
Reaching for a drink, my hands paused in the air when I felt the familiar shivering of air.
Relaxing my guard, knowing who it was.
And what brings you back here Astonio.
"Sir." Astonio appeared as he bowed down in my front
I continued for my drink. With the way things were going, I knew I needed a clear head to think but the alcohol was still very much necessary.
Pouring a little of the contents in the bottle into the cup, I watched as the liquid swooshed into the glass.
I brought the cup to my lips, savouring the delicious smell of good wine before downing the contents in one go.
Sir, i believed we found something. Astonio brought out an object that was wrapped in a white cloth.
It was found north of the border, the closest place to the where the Alpha met the unidentified person. He said as he unwrapped the object gently.
In his hands was a silver arrow. There was only one group that could use silver weapons.
The bloody angels! Donovan, my wolf finished for me. Like I had earlier thought, it was the angels.
The analyst have also analysed the blood on the arrow head and have confirmed that the blood in fact did belong to your brother Zayn. Plus, it was subtle but they found little traces of the same silver poison in Zayne's blood. This arrow without a doubt grazed your brother's skin and must have introduced poison into his system.
Banging my fist on the table, I tried my best to remain calm, but Donovan my wolf was not helping matters, scratching at the surface in a dangerous attempt to break free.
"Let me out, Angels my ass, they f*****g killed him." He spat angrily.
If I let him out at this point then I wasn't sure he wouldn't murder somebody anytime soon.
"And have you traced the whereabouts of this so called silver arrow?" I asked Astonio.
"I want to know which of the angels did it."
Astonio nodded.
Even among the angels, this was hard to find, as we devil's aren't allowed to know their insignia.
Astonio looked warily at the Arrow. "I'm not too sure sir, but from the looks of things sir, it would seem the arrow is from one of the top 3 angels, judging by the way information about it is heavily protected. Two men were almost killed in the Pennsylvania boarder, just trying to get the information."
I narrowed my eyes.
"Out of the names of the top three Angel families.
Oasis the first Angels, their symbol is well known, they were the self proclaimed strongest Angels and always liked to flaunt their power. The Castilas, they were the second Angels, however they do not operate anywhere near here and will openly admit to any attack which was done by them. which only leaves one option. "
"The Silverstones." Astonio and I both completed at the same time.
He nodded grimly. "It's most likely sir. After all no one has ever seen their mark and lived to tell the tale."
Their old bat Raizel always made sure.
I wondered if that was the case, then why exactly would they leave a bloody arrow lying around. As I continued to ponder about it, my mind went back to the day of the cremation.
How my brother's body had lay in a boat while set on fire. The insults, from the pack members, the accusations, the torture he must have went through mentally. I felt my blood boiling, anger welling up once again in me. I lost all sense of reasoning, in my mind I had finally found my brother's killers.
"Where is their headquarters?" I spat
Astonios eyes widened for a fraction of a second.
"Sir, the place is heavily guarded, the whole estate is laced with silver."
"I know that Astonio! I'm just asking where they're based."
Astonio seemed to get the message. As he slowly seemed to come off from his shock.
"West of here, in West Virginia, that's where the head family is based."
I nodded, the hunters were built different, but I had to get to the bottom of my brother's death, I didn't have much time, the Devil's were already making their move, a new Alpha was going to be choosen sooner or later, the faster I do it, then the better. One way or the other, the Silverstones were involved in Zayne's death so I was going to make them pay.
"That's enough Astonio, if there's nothing else for now, you can take your leave."
"Yes sir." he nodded.
But just as he made to shinmer out of the air once more. He suddenly stopped.
"A a actually sir, there is s something else."
I raised my brow at Astonios stammering.
"Or rather, someone else sir."
"Someone?" I questioned again, not exactly sure what he meant by that.
"Well the boarder patrol told me she arrived this morning sir, but I forgot to inform you because of the lead we had gotten."
"So, who is this person.?" I asked impatiently.
"Sir, it's Cynthia, Cynthia's back."
