The new Alpha.

ALPHA JACKSON For as long as I could remember, I had always felt different from my family and pack. They were kind people, always ready to help wherever help was needed, and I knew they would die for any member of the pack. But that wasn’t me. Sure, I put on the act of being kind to others and willing to fight for any of them, but truthfully, whenever I did anything nice for them, it made my skin crawl. I maintained a protective and loving facade in front of my parents and sister, but the truth was I couldn’t stand them. They were Omega—weak and pathetic. Sure, I had Omega blood in me, but deep down, I had always known I was more than a mere Omega, I was worth so much more than them. I had always hated being told what to do. Every time I had to submit to the Alpha and obey his every command, I felt a surge of anger. How dare he order me around? How dare anyone tell me what to do like I was some mere fool? I was the one who should be giving the orders. I was the one who should be obeyed, not them and certainly not him! By the time I turned twenty-one, I decided enough was enough. I wasn’t going to sit there and keep up the loving and protective puppy-dog act any longer. It was time to change things and finally take my rightful place as the Alpha. Everyone knew I had Alpha material, including the Alpha himself, but no one wanted to admit it. I had a plan in my head, though I wasn’t sure if it would work. But f**k it, it was worth trying. Anything was better than putting up with those pathetic excuses any longer. I also had a backup plan, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t kind of hoping that I would need to go with Plan B, it would be a lot of fun. My first plan was to give the Alpha a chance to pass the Alpha title to me peacefully and walk away. My backup plan was to kill every single one of them, including the sad excuse for a family I had. Well, everyone except for two, Amelia and Annabelle. I intended to keep them alive. Annabelle is my sister's best friend. She will be turning seventeen this month, but even now, she is absolutely beautiful. By the time she turns eighteen, she’s going to be the most stunning girl to ever walk this earth, and she will be my Luna. I cannot wait to claim her as mine, but I’m not a complete monster; I won’t do it while she is underage. However, on her eighteenth birthday, she will be mine. I know her father keeps her and Amelia safe in a secure room during attacks so they won’t get hurt, and I can leave them there until it’s over. That's the only reason Annabelle will be spared. If I kill the brat called Amelia after I release them, Annabelle will never forgive me. So instead, I’ll be Mr. Nice Guy and suggest we keep Amelia by Annabelle’s side so she won’t miss her family that much. One week ago, I approached the Alpha and made him an offer he’d be stupid to refuse. He could stand down and announce me as Alpha peacefully, and I would let him live. He’d be welcome to stay in the pack as a warrior, and neither he nor his family would come to any harm. Alternatively, he could take his family and leave. Let’s be honest, I couldn’t have been any fairer than that. But the fool actually had the audacity to refuse me. Can you believe it? He thought he could just laugh me off as if I was nothing! So I took another route. Instead of an offer, I gave him an ultimatum: hand over the pack to me, or I would kill every single last one of them. His response made my blood boil and my heart pound with excitement. He laughed at me,actually f*****g laughed. His derision filled me with a mixture of anger I had never felt and an exhilarating thrill because I could finally tear apart every single one of them. I could already feel the sheer excitement of ending them once and for all. When he laughed at me, I realized he thought of me as a lowly Omega, as that was what my family was, and he refused to admit I was more than that. He thought so little of me that he didn’t even set a punishment for the threat I made; he simply told me to f**k off out of his sight. He assumed I couldn’t do anything about it, but what he didn’t know was that I had a whole Plan B worked out, with enough wolves to wipe out his entire pack. A month ago, I was out for a run with my wolf, John, and I was in a terrible mood. My mother had asked me to look after my sister for a day while my parents went to a meeting, and I had no choice but to say yes. One full day of playing the loving older brother, one full day of her annoying, grating voice surrounding me. Yes, I was already in a shitty mood, and then, to make things f*****g fantastic, I ran into a group of five rogues. Oh, I was more than ready to sink my teeth into every one of them. But then it happened, I couldn’t believe it. One of the rogues shifted back into her human form, our eyes connected, and then she spoke a single word: “Mate.” At the same time, John screamed “Mate” in my head. s**t, a rogue was my mate. Are you f*****g kidding me? Don’t get me wrong; she was good-looking, not a bad face or body but she was a rogue, and an Alpha doesn’t have a rogue as a mate. Clearly, the Moon Goddess loved to play jokes on me, first making me live as an Omega and then mating me with a rogue. Fuck this life. It didn’t matter to me, though, as I had already chosen Annabelle for my mate and Luna! However, luckily for me, I’m a fast thinker, and I already knew I could use this situation to my advantage. I shifted into my human form and forced out the word “Mate.” I prayed she wasn’t a she-wolf that I’d need to take my time with, time is something I didn’t have. I wanted s**t done as soon as possible. Fortunately, she was very forward and more than willing to progress quickly, which was perfect. Over the coming days, I fabricated an amazing story. Apparently, my father had been a previous Alpha but died when I was still young. Since I was too young to take over as Alpha, his Beta agreed to hold the position until I turned eighteen. But once I turned eighteen, he kept making excuses not to hand the title over and treated me horribly. I threw in extra details for effect, building up to the confrontation I had just a week ago when I faced him. He told me I’d never take the title from him; it would go to his son after him. If I ever brought it up, he said he would kill me. I wore an excellent broken-hearted face, the Moon Goddess knows I’ve had to fake it enough times when we’ve lost a member of the pack. Just as I had predicted, she said she would speak with her father and the pack of rogues to see if they could help in any way. The next day, her father met with me. He suggested they could help kill the Alpha but wanted something in return: a place in my pack. They didn’t want to be rogues anymore. It turned out most of them originally came from the same pack. They were attacked by an enemy pack, their Alpha was killed, and they ran away, meeting the rest along the way—all wolves wanting a pack. I told him that for that to work, we would have to wipe out the enemy pack, and he agreed—the savage bastard. I love it. Me and him would get along well. I really don’t mind them joining my pack as long as they are utterly devoted to me then they are welcome. I need to build my pack somehow, and anyone who tries to question my authority or challenge me, I will simply kill. Of course, my mate, Melinda, wouldn’t become a member of my pack. Sadly for her, she would be killed in the fight. I wouldn't be the one to kill her, I couldn’t risk someone witnessing that. But I would make it happen—accidentally, of course. We hadn’t mated or marked each other yet, as we were waiting to move into our pack house. We planned to mate and mark each other on the first night, hahaha, like duh! Anyway, the pain of my mate dying would have been incredibly strong if we had bound ourselves by mating and marking, which is why I stopped it from happening too soon. I would still feel pain when she dies, but it wouldn’t be half as bad, and not severe enough to make me regret my decision. Annabelle is my Luna. End of my story.
