Chapter 4

Elaine left school and as soon as she arrived home her father slapped her, “YOU f*****g s**t! HOW DARE YOU COME BACK AND STEP IN THIS HOUSE HOLD! YOU’RE SUCH A USELESS PIECE OF s**t; I WISHED YOU WEREN’T MY DAUTHER. BECAUSE OF YOU, OUR LIFE BECAME MISRABLE”, as his father continued to hit Elaine. Elaine just kept looking down as she forced herself not to cry and she looks dead both mentally and physically, Elaine’s Mom just stared at her as she’s being hit hard. After a while, her dad got tired and left Elaine on the floor bruised and hurt badly as her Mom kicked Elaine before going to their room. Elaine had a hard time standing up as her legs shakes and stumbled while going to her room. She locked her room as soon as she’s inside, she started crying silently as possible as the rain pours hard with lighting, she looked at the window as she jump outside and ran along the street with no shoes or even slippers as she shouts through her lungs crying hard while she looks above the sky rethinking “why am I still here?, why was I even born?” and Elaine continued to over thinks.

Elaine saw a playground so she decided to sit there for the whole night as the rain continued to fall. While sitting, her head overflowed with her anxiety then so sudden someone put an umbrella above her, Elaine was confused and slowly looked up and saw Luke. Elaine stared at his eyes as she felt ecstatic. Luke told Elaine “what are you doing in a middle of the night while raining? You might get sick. Elaine answered “what about you? What are you doing here? And why are you in this village?” Luke said that he lives here and he bought food for his dinner as he saw Elaine in the playground when he was about to go home. The rain slowly stopped, Luke gave his jacket to Elaine and sat beside her. Elaine was flustered and she hid her bruise as he told Luke to not ask what happened to Elaine or why was she crying, Luke said with his soft voice “I won’t if it’s what you want but you can trust me so tell me everything if you’re already comfortable with me, I’m always free to listen you know.” Elaine took a glance at Luke and her heart starts to beat fast like she’s going to die. While sitting down, Luke offered his juice to Elaine and told her to calm down first, Elaine starts to feel comfy and started to calm down but her heart still continued to pound. Luke asked Elaine if she was okay and Elaine nodded softly and said I’m fine for now. After a few late night talks that calmed Elaine down, Luke took Elaine home. Elaine entered the house silently and rushed in her room, she jump in her bed hugging the pillow while blushing as her heart flutter.

The next day, Elaine was about to go outside to go to school and she saw Luke outside waiting for her. Elaine was flustered and checked herself in the mirror; she fixed herself, checked her teeth, and checked if her face was okay. She took a deep breath as she fixs her uniform and took her step outside. “Good morning Luke”, Luke said it back and told Elaine to go to school together. Elaine’s heart fluttered and said sure softly as she gets shy, While walking together to the bus, Elaine thanked Luke as Luke saw the bandage covering Elaine’s face and also saw a bandage from her knees to her arms, Luke asked “what happened to your face?” Elaine answered that she just tripped yesterday and keep saying that she’s fine so there’s nothing to worry about. When they arrived the bus station, Ariana past by and saw the two of them in a distance smiling at each other and she starts to get jealous, She slowly start to feel grudge at Elaine. Ariana ran towards them as she greeted them Good morning but Ariana looked at Elaine furiously. Elaine looks confused like she didn't know why Ariana is looking at her furiously but then she shrugged it off thinking she might have a bad day. Ariana look at luke and said "Luke can you accompany me to the clinic my head is aching" Luke immediately agree and look at Elaine for permission and Ariana just rolled her eyes, Elaine nodded her head and said she can handle her self. After they left Elaine took a deep breathe and start to walk through their classroom, while walking someone push her that causes her to bump to the locker she hissed in pain then the girl started to yell at her "YOU f*****g s**t ARE NOT SATISFIED THAT YOU HAVE LUKE, WHY BOTHER TO GET TANZ ATTENTION" she yelled and slap her students around starts circling them Elaine is now crying cause her body is still not recovered from the beating she got yesterday. Sheila was about to slap her again when someone holds her hand and everyone around them gasps seeing the person who stop Sheila. Sheila was shaking cause she didn't expect that she would be seen by Tanz doing this kind of things, she thinks her imaged got ruined and it's all because of Elaine she snatched her hand and look at him and ask "why did you stop me? she deserves it from being a s**t!" Tanz look at her and said "Aren't you a s**t? you keep on flirting in every boys you see, fix yourself before you judge others" he said coldly he turns to Elaine and ask if she's okay Elaine just nods and keep her head low. Tanz can't see her like that and then he grabbed her hands while Elaine just follow him cause she can't stand being there anymore.
