Chapter 1

Cara I woke up, my lower back was sore and felt like every muscle was on fire. I knew I overdid it yesterday but I had to get all my work done or the Luna would be upset and punish me.The last thing I wanted was to have that Luna upset or my dreams will not come true. I am an orphan. I lost both my parents in a Rouge attack many years earlier. So the Luna took me under her wings and allowed me to live in the pack house under the condition that I would serve the alpha and his family. Being a young girl with no other options I agreed. Most of the times the alpha and his family just ignored me. Like like I was just a fixture on the wall. The Luna however was harsh on me. I never knew why the Luna, who had offered to take care of me, has such a strong dislike of me. I don’t wanna be just a servant for the rest of my life. I do have dreams. My biggest dream is to be a teacher. In order for me to get to be a teacher, I need the Alpha and Luna’s permission to be allowed to enroll in a program that allows me to go to an allied pack and learn how to teach with the teacher at the school in that pack. For some reason when I brought this up to the Alpha and Luna about the opportunity the alpha said as long as I can prove my loyalty to them by completing all my work and cause no problems this summer he would agree to allow me to take part in the program when the school year begins in the Fall. The Luna was more reluctant but agreed with her mate. But now it seems I have more work than I ever had before. I knew I had to get the work done and not cause any issues because all I wanted to do was become a teacher. Plus small hope was in me that I would also meet my mate in the allied pack was in the back of my mind. Although I was grateful for my pack and the Luna and Alpha providing for her especially after I lost my parents. I just felt like I didn’t belong there and just wanted my chance at a new life away from all the heartache I have in the Blood Rose pack. —— Jace I woke up early to get some the early morning training in. As the a son of the Alpha and the one to take over for him next year I have a lot of pressure on me. I have to be better then the warriors. My father demands the best from me. After I’m done with training, I’m expected to go to school and do well there as well. My father expected me to be part of sports that he felt would make me a better Alpha. He said sports have strategic ways to make you win, plus they will give you better fighting skills if we go to battle was his theory. In addition to football, I was on the soccer and wrestling teams as well. I was of course the star in each team. You have to be the strongest, the fastest, and of course the best if you want to lead. That’s all I been taught, it is my destiny and I have to accept that.
