After getting the laundry started, I began cleaning the Alpha floor. I literally have to start from top to bottom on this floor.
I started with wiping down the crown molding in every room, then dusting everything, and finally washing the floors. That doesn’t include making the beds, which I also have to do.
I leave Jace’s room for last because his is usually the easiest to clean. He isn’t a messy person. Even though he can be a jerk to me, I admit I appreciate that he is neat.
As I’m making his bed, I have to admit I really do like his scent. It reminds me of how the earth smells right after a hard summer rain—clean and earthy.
I hold up his pillow and take a nice deep breath to inhale the scent. Then I put it back on the bed and finish making it.
I realize how late it’s getting
