Something is wrong. Jace would not just leave me here by myself. Plus, I can’t seem to link Jace either, so I know something is wrong.
Think Cara, what is the best thing to do right now? The only thing I could think of was to go to Morris’s home. I started to run that way when I caught the sight of something. Mauve was kneeling on the ground and someone had a whip in his hand.
Oh my goddess, what is going on? I saw as the whip was in the air coming down onto Mauve’s open back. Her shirt was torn so her back was exposed.
“Nooooo!” I scream as a bolt of lightning suddenly hits the whip knocking it out of the man’s hand.
“What the f**k! Did you do that, you witch?” The man yelled at Mauve.
