After we escorted Mrs. Miller out Chloe whispered behind me "Wow, it really went smoothly" I nodded in agreement, my mind still racing with the details of our meeting, the creative possibilities swirling in my head like a tantalizing puzzle. "Yes, it did," I replied, "but there are always cracked roads before finishing something. Your journey can't be that smooth." The words hung in the air like a challenge, a reminder that the path to success is rarely straightforward. As we walked towards the elevator, the doors were about to close, and Chloe rushed to block them, slipping inside with an apologetic smile. I followed closely behind, my eyes locking onto Mr. Sage's intense gaze as he stood right behind her. My heart skipped a beat . The air was thick with tension, and I could feel Mr. Sage's presence like a palpable force, his eyes seeming to bore into my soul. Chloe, oblivious to Mr. Sage's presence, urged me to hurry up and get on the elevator, her voice a gentle prod that snapped me back to reality. I stepped inside, trying to composed myself as I looked straight at the elevator door closing, Chloe pressed the button for our department, located on the 9th floor, while Mr. Sage's office was just one floor above us on the 10th. As the elevator lurched to life, Chloe started striking up a conversation "Why is this elevator taking so much time?" she asked, her voice laced with frustration, her brow furrowed in concern. I raised an eyebrow, curious about the delay, my mind working overtime to piece together the puzzle. "I forgot to tell you," Chloe continued, "the building's management has been doing some maintenance work on the elevators, and it's been causing some issues." I nodded understandingly, my eyes drifting towards Mr. Sage, who was standing silently behind Chloe, his expression unreadable as ever. I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking, his eyes seeming to hold a thousand secrets. The slow crawl of the elevator a reminder that time was ticking away. Chloe continued to chat, unaware of the tension I felt standing so close to Mr. Sage. I tried to focus on her words, but my mind kept wandering back when he called my name or was it an illusion . As we approached the 9th floor, Chloe smiled and said, "Almost there," her voice a gentle reminder that our journey was coming to an end. The elevator doors slid open, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I walked out without sparing a glance at Mr. Sage, my heart still racing from the encounter. Chloe turned to me, "So, what's next?" her voice a gentle prompt that snapped me back to reality. I took a deep breath, pushing aside my thoughts about Mr. Sage, and focused on the task at hand. "Let's get started on the design," I said, my mind racing with ideas and possibilities, the creative process calling and I was ready to answer. The possibilities were endless, and I was ready to unleash my creativity and bring my vision to life. With a newfound sense of determination, I followed Chloe to our department, ready to dive into the world of design and create something truly remarkable. As we walked, the fluorescent lights overhead seemed to hum in harmony with my heartbeat, and I felt a surge of excitement and anticipation. The design was going to be a masterpiece, and I was ready to put my skills to the test. The hours ticked by, and I became lost in the world of design, the lines and shapes blending together in a beautiful symphony. Chloe worked alongside me, her input and suggestions valuable as we brought the design to life. And as night set, the moon and stars casting a warm glow over the city, I stepped back and admired our handiwork, a sense of pride and satisfaction washing over me. The design was everything I had hoped for and more, a true masterpiece. I smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment, and turned to Chloe. "What do you think?" I asked, seeking her opinion. Chloe's eyes widened as she took in the design, and she nodded enthusiastically. "It's perfect," she said her voice filled with admiration
