“Take him away,” Choji ordered with a lazy wave of his hand. “And someone clean up this mess.”
Two henchmen moved toward Sasuke, grabbing his limp body by the arms and dragging him toward the exit.
Satisfied, Choji turned to Naruto with a smug grin. “Didn’t think you had the balls, Naruto.”
Naruto stood frozen, still trembling from the shock of what had just happened. His eyes were wide, his breathing shallow, and his hands visibly shaking.
“From now on,” Choji continued, walking slowly toward him, “no more selling drugs for you.”
Naruto blinked in confusion.
“You’re gonna be my assistant, all right?” Choji said with a twisted grin, clearly pleased with himself.
He leaned in close, his lips just inches from Naruto’s ear. The smell of cigarette smoke and cheap cologne made Naruto’s nose wrinkle.
“My... personal... assistant,” Choji whispered, dragging out each word seductively. He licked his lips with a slow, deliberate motion, sending a shiver of disgust through Naruto’s body.
Naruto’s eyes widened in horror. He turned his head slightly to glance at Choji, his face a mix of disbelief and revulsion.
What the hell have I gotten myself into? Naruto thought, holding back a grimace.
Suddenly, the tense silence was shattered by a sharp groan of pain from one of the henchmen dragging Sasuke.
Choji jerked his head toward the sound, alarm flashing across his face. Naruto, Choji, and the other henchmen all froze.
“Shumo? What’s wrong?” Choji called out, his voice sharp with confusion.
The henchman, Shumo, stood with his back to them, his body trembling. Without warning, he crumpled to the ground, revealing Sasuke standing behind him, very much alive, holding a bloodied kunai.
Sasuke’s dark eyes locked onto Choji’s, filled with cold determination.
“You son of a b***h!” Choji snarled, raising his gun to shoot Sasuke.
But Sasuke moved faster.
With a swift flick of his wrist, Sasuke hurled the kunai through the air. It struck Choji’s hand, forcing him to drop the gun as he cried out in pain, clutching his bleeding hand.
“Get him!” Choji screamed, his face contorted in rage.
The remaining henchmen grabbed their guns and opened fire, bullets flying wildly across the room.
Naruto, snapping out of his daze, dove for Choji’s fallen gun. Rolling to his feet, he fired back at the henchmen with sharp precision. Sasuke dodged and weaved between the bullets, taking down the remaining thugs one by one with his own stolen weapon.
Within moments, the room was silent again, all of Choji’s henchmen lying motionless on the floor.
Naruto exhaled deeply, his hands still gripping the gun tightly. Sasuke, breathing hard, stood beside him.
Naruto grabbed Choji’s uninjured arm, twisting it behind his back with enough force to make Choji yelp in pain. He pushed Choji’s own hand to the back of his head and pressed the barrel of the gun firmly into his armpit.
“So,” Naruto smirked, his voice laced with sarcasm, “how about now? Armpit sweaty yet?”
Choji gritted his teeth, growling in pain and frustration.
Without warning, Naruto swept Choji’s legs out from under him with a swift kick. Choji hit the ground hard with a grunt.
Sasuke wasted no time, rushing forward and delivering a powerful punch to Choji’s face, knocking him out cold.
Breathing heavily, Sasuke stood over Choji’s unconscious body. He pressed a hand to his chest, wincing from the earlier gunshot.
“Didn’t we agree... no more crazy stunts, Naruto?” Sasuke muttered between heavy breaths, still clutching his chest where Naruto’s bullet had hit him.
Naruto chuckled, finally allowing himself to relax. “You’re the one to talk. Chill out, dattebayo,” he teased, letting out a tired sigh.
Sasuke reached into his vest, pulling out the bullet that had lodged into the protective fabric. He held it up with a faint smirk. “Thank God for bulletproof vests. Here, a souvenir.”
He tossed the bullet at Naruto.
Naruto caught it and scowled. “People wear vests to avoid getting shot, not to start a bullet collection, idiot.”
“Whatever. Let’s go,” Sasuke said, kneeling down to lift Choji’s unconscious body. Naruto groaned but moved to help him. They slung Choji’s arms over their shoulders, each supporting one side of the surprisingly heavy gangster.
Slowly, they began to make their way out of the room.
“Damn it,” Sasuke muttered through gritted teeth, struggling under Choji’s weight. “He’s heavy as hell.”
“Yeah,” Naruto grumbled, shifting uncomfortably. “Full of crap. That’s why."
Naruto and Sasuke moved cautiously down the dimly lit hallway, Choji’s unconscious body weighing them down with every step. They glanced around nervously, hoping to avoid any more henchmen. Despite their best efforts to move quickly, Choji’s bulk made it almost impossible.
“Man, why does this guy eat so much?” Naruto whispered through gritted teeth, struggling under Choji’s weight.
“Shut up and keep moving,” Sasuke hissed, equally strained.
Suddenly, a door along the hallway swung open with a loud creak. Both Naruto and Sasuke froze in place.
Standing in the doorway was Choja, Choji’s father, his arms draped around the waists of two scantily-clad women, both giggling uncontrollably. It was clear they were all heavily intoxicated.
“Heyyyy! Look! My boy had a wild night too!” Choja slurred, laughing loudly as he swayed on his feet.
“Anyone who parties with you, Mr. Choja, is bound to have a wild night,” one of the women purred, running a finger down his chest before bursting into a fit of giggles.
“Hell yes!” Naruto blurted out, forcing an overly enthusiastic, drunken laugh. Sasuke, clearly irritated, plastered on a fake grin and nodded awkwardly.
Slowly, they shuffled past Choja, trying their best to act natural while dragging Choji’s limp body between them.
As Choja staggered down the hallway with his companions, Naruto and Sasuke thought they were in the clear. But just as they exhaled in relief, another door opened behind them. A bloodied henchman stumbled out of the room, barely able to stand.
“C-cops... they... they’re cops...” the henchman gasped out, before collapsing to the floor in front of Choja.
“COPS?!” Choja roared, instantly sobering up. His drunken haze was replaced with pure rage. He spun around to face the two figures dragging his son down the hall, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
Naruto and Sasuke froze mid-step. They slowly turned their heads, meeting Choja’s furious glare. Behind him, more henchmen appeared, armed and ready. Choja brandished a massive knife, its blade gleaming under the flickering hallway light.
Turning their heads back around, Naruto and Sasuke saw another group of armed henchmen blocking their path from the front.
They were trapped.
Both swallowed hard.
Naruto forced a nervous smile. “E-everybody, calm down,” he said, raising his free hand in an attempt to defuse the situation. “Let’s... let’s work this out, yeah?”
Sasuke, still scanning the henchmen for sudden movements, whispered sharply, “What the hell are you doing, i***t?”
“Buying time,” Naruto whispered back through clenched teeth. Then, with a forced grin, he added, “We can have fun, sure... but remember...” His hand slowly reached for the gun at his side. “...don’t enjoy it too much.”
Before anyone could react, Naruto whipped out his gun and fired at Choja. The shot rang through the hallway as Choja stumbled backward, clutching his side in shock before collapsing to the ground.
“FATHER!” Choji screamed, suddenly waking up from the noise of the gunfire. His voice cracked through the tension, his face contorted with pain and rage.
“Shoot them!” Choji ordered, his voice echoing through the hallway as his henchmen opened fire.
Bullets flew from every direction as Naruto and Sasuke retaliated. Even while carrying Choji, they shot back with deadly precision, taking out henchmen one by one.
Naruto grunted, struggling to aim while holding Choji’s hefty body. “Man, you could help a little here!” he shouted at Sasuke.
“Yeah, yeah, I got it!” Sasuke growled, dropping Choji’s weight momentarily to punch, kick, and shoot his way through the wave of enemies with brutal efficiency.
Naruto covered him, firing at any henchmen who dared get too close.
“No end to these guys!” Naruto shouted, his breathing ragged.
“They’re just making it easier for me,” Sasuke smirked, dodging bullets and taking down henchmen with calculated moves. Each shot was precise, every punch and kick was brutal. Blood splattered the walls as bodies dropped around them.
Finally, the gunfire ceased. The hallway was littered with the fallen.
Sasuke, catching his breath, smirked at Choji. “Heh... is that all you got?”
Choji, face twisted in fury, gritted his teeth. “You think this is over, Uchiha?”
Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from the far end of the hallway. Three massive men emerged, each wielding enormous machine guns.
Choji laughed maniacally. “You’ve got guts, but say that again from hell!”
The three men opened fire, the deafening sound of their powerful weapons forcing Naruto and Sasuke to retreat. They dove behind a large table, taking cover as bullets shredded everything around them.
“What now?!” Naruto shouted over the gunfire, peeking out just enough to see their enemies advancing.
Sasuke scanned the area quickly. “There’s only one way out!” he yelled back.
“Really? No doors? No vents? Nothing?!” Naruto asked desperately.
“Do you see a door? Do you see?!” Sasuke snapped, waving his hand at the walls in frustration.
Naruto groaned, “Okay, okay! Geez!”
Suddenly, the gunfire stopped. Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance.
Sasuke peeked out. The three henchmen were reloading their weapons.
“NOW!” Sasuke shouted.
Naruto hoisted Choji up, and they sprinted toward the large window at the end of the hallway. The henchmen, now reloaded, opened fire again as bullets whizzed past them.
“AHHHHHHHHH!” Naruto, Sasuke, and even Choji screamed as they hurled themselves through the window. The glass shattered around them as they plummeted from the building, their screams echoing into the night.
Sasuke, Naruto, and Choji crashed into the biggest dumpster behind the building with a loud THUD. Garbage bags burst open, sending a flurry of trash flying into the air before settling around them.
Naruto groaned in pain, struggling to sit up amid the mountain of garbage. “Didn’t we agree... no more crazy stunts, Sasuke?”
“Shut up,” Sasuke grumbled, wincing as he clutched his side.
“Ahhh! My shoulder! It hurts!” Choji wailed dramatically, still sprawled out on top of heaps of foul-smelling rubbish.
Naruto and Sasuke exchanged exhausted glances before grabbing Choji by the arms and pulling him up with great effort. Once they had him standing, they pushed him—none too gently—out of the dumpster with a loud thud.
“When does this crazy stunt end?” Sasuke muttered, glaring at Naruto.
Naruto groaned, holding his nose against the dumpster’s unbearable stench. “When we’re retired, maybe?”
Both groaned as they climbed out of the dumpster. Just as they lifted Choji up again, three henchmen appeared at the broken window above, guns aimed down at them.
“Move!” Sasuke shouted.
Gunfire erupted as bullets rained down. Naruto and Sasuke, still dragging Choji, sprinted across the alley, zigzagging to avoid getting shot. Garbage cans and crates exploded around them from the barrage of bullets.
“There!” Naruto pointed, spotting their beat-up black sedan parked nearby.
Naruto yanked the door open as Sasuke shoved Choji forward. Choji, wide-eyed and panicked, struggled against them.
“Where are you taking me?!” Choji screamed, thrashing wildly.
“Shut up and get in!” Sasuke growled, gripping Choji’s collar and forcing him headfirst into the backseat.
Sasuke jumped into the passenger seat while Naruto slid into the driver’s seat, starting the engine with a roar. Tires screeched as Naruto floored the gas pedal, the car peeling out of the alley and onto the main road.
“I’d rather die than go to jail!” Choji screamed from the backseat, kicking the back of Naruto’s seat.
“Can you make him faint for a bit?” Naruto muttered, glancing at Sasuke.
“What?” Choji asked suspiciously.
Before he could react, Sasuke turned and delivered a swift, hard punch to Choji’s face. Choji’s eyes rolled back, and he slumped into unconsciousness.
“Thanks,” Naruto said, speeding down the road.
“Anytime,” Sasuke replied dryly.
