Chapter 2

Dimas had never imagined that those players would one day appear. One thousand and ninety-five days...? A full three years... at least, if measured by the time inside the game. From the very beginning, Glory had always emphasized the difference in the flow of time. One day in the real world was equal to three days inside the game. Back then, however, Dimas had simply regarded it as a marketing gimmick an exaggerated claim designed to make the game seem more advanced and high-class. But now? The holographic panel before him showed that more than a thousand days had already passed. And everything... was real. “So... I entered this world more than three years earlier?” The thought made his heart pound. There was tension, certainly, but also... a strange sense of excitement. After all, the moment he had been “born” into this world, he had become a Vampire Progenitor, commanding hundreds of subordinates while possessing the status of a Level 10 Mage. He was overwhelmingly overpowered. “The crazier it is, the better,” he muttered with a grin. Once the excitement gradually subsided, Dimas turned his attention to the status panel floating before him. The moment he read through the list of abilities he possessed, his heartbeat quickened. Yes. He had three main categories of abilities. The first category was Talent Specializations. There were three of them: Bloodline Progenitor (Unique) Bloodline Shackles (Limited) Extreme Magic Affinity Dimas immediately examined the first one. Bloodline Progenitor As the progenitor, his blood was powerful enough to withstand sunlight. Every month, he could create one new vampire descendant. Most importantly, every descendant possessed absolute loyalty toward him. Each vampire also granted him one experience point every month. Dimas stopped reading. “Absolute loyalty...?” That wasn't merely powerful—it was completely broken. It meant he never had to worry about betrayal. Even if he behaved strangely, his subordinates would remain loyal. Even so, Dimas still had some doubts. "What exactly does 'absolute' mean? Do they obey without thinking? Or do they still have their own minds but are willing to die for me?" That was something he would have to test personally later. Still, one thing was certain: the monthly experience bonus was incredibly useful. In Glory, leveling up was notoriously difficult. Even the official website had stated as much. As a Level 10 Mage in a city the size of Green City, he was already considered powerful. One could say that he could travel almost anywhere without fear. Dimas continued reading. Bloodline Shackles As the progenitor, he could control all of his descendants through their blood connection. He could even implant commands directly into their very being. Dimas raised an eyebrow. “This... is even crazier.” Not only were they loyal, but he could also control them completely. The part about commands being engraved into their blood made him pause and think. “This is going to be extremely useful later.” The final talent in the category was: Extreme Magic Affinity The description was simple. Dimas possessed magic talent at the highest possible level. Which meant? He was born to be a mage. According to the game's rules, players could only possess two specializations. But him? He had three. And every single one of them was overpowered. The second category was Racial Abilities. Unlike talents, which were personal, racial abilities originated from his vampire blood. There were three abilities: Bat Transformation He could transform into one hundred small bats. As long as even one of them survived, he could regenerate and return. Alternatively, he could simply grow bat wings and fly. “This makes me ridiculously hard to kill,” he muttered. Blood Recovery By drinking blood, he could restore his stamina, mana, and even his mental strength. “Well... classic vampire.” Superhuman Physique His body was far stronger than that of an ordinary human. At that moment, Dimas finally realized the truth. The body he inhabited was a monster. It possessed extraordinary physical strength and extreme magical talent. He could develop along two different paths simultaneously. Even the secret classes in the game might not compare. The third category was Magic. In this world, magic was divided into circles. Circle One through Circle Five. Above them existed Forbidden Magic and Divine Arts. As a Level 10 Mage, Dimas had already mastered: Around ten First and Second Circle spells. Three Third Circle spells. As for Fourth Circle magic, he would need to reach Level 15 first. Fifth Circle magic and beyond... That was still far away. What puzzled him was that he also possessed a Level 5 Warrior class. Yet he had no warrior skills whatsoever. After sorting through the memories of this body, Dimas suddenly chuckled. “No wonder...” It turned out that the original owner of this body had been a fanatic of magic. He believed that magic was everything and looked down upon warriors. The warrior class had only been taken because his physical abilities were exceptional, and he did not want them to go to waste. “A hardcore mage indeed...” Dimas shook his head. Overall, the vampire race was utterly absurd. Its only weakness was sunlight. But now? Thanks to the Progenitor talent, even that weakness had disappeared. Which meant... He was nearly flawless. Knock. Knock. Knock. The sound of knocking pulled him from his thoughts. “Master Vlad... are you inside?” A gentle voice came from outside the door. The language was not Mandarin like it had been in the game, yet somehow Dimas understood it perfectly. Almost instinctively, he answered. “Yes, I'm inside.” The moment the words left his mouth, he froze. “This language... it came out automatically?” He quickly understood. “It’s because of this body’s memories...” He let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it wasn't only the memories that had been inherited. The language had been inherited as well. Dimas stood and straightened his black robe. His fangs had already receded into normal teeth, although his complexion remained somewhat pale. At least he looked more alive now. He walked toward the door and opened it. A young woman stood before him. Beautiful, Sweet. Tall. Slender. Elegant. She was approximately one hundred and seventy centimeters tall, carrying an aura that was both calm and refined. Her large, clear eyes seemed to sparkle. Her features were delicate, and a gentle smile rested on her lips. Her wavy blonde hair cascaded down her back. Dimas stared at her for a moment. She's unbelievably beautiful... “Master Vlad,” she said softly, “lunch is ready. Would you prefer to dine here, or in the dining hall?” Her name was Vina. Half a year ago, she had been chosen as a magic apprentice because of her exceptional talent. Since then, she had also served as Vlad's personal attendant. And within this Mage Tower, Vlad—who was now Dimas—was the absolute ruler. His words were law. Including... More personal matters as well.
