Sarah woke up the following morning at Andrew's place. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around and remembered what had transpired between them the following night. She sat up and ran a hand through her hair. She was just in a bra and underwear, seeing her clothes on a chair across the room.
"Andrew?" She called, not sure where he was. She had fallen asleep in his arms, but now he was gone. He had even been awake when she fell asleep.
"I'm in the kitchen." He called back so Sarah got up and got dressed before heading out into the kitchen. "I thought I would get up early and make some breakfast. I um, have been snacking as I ate so it's all yours."
Sarah raised an eyebrow before going to grab a mug from the cupboard. She had already been here so much over the past few months that she knew where everything was. As she was grabbing the mug though, it slipped from her fingers. "Shit.. I'm so sorry." She said before bending down to pick up the pieces.
"It's okay babe. Promise." Andrew replied, but soon smelt blood. "Um, babe.. are you bleeding?"
Sarah threw the pieces into the trashcan before looking at her fingers. "Oh, yeah. I guess I was shocked from the crash that I didn't even notice. Wait, how did you know?" She asked, looking over at her boyfriend as she held her finger under cold water.
"I saw some blood on the glass. That's all." He replied quickly, a little too quickly. He had to prepared in case she asked. It wasn't the first time someone had asked him that and he knew it wouldn't be the last.
"Okay... did you sleep?" She asked, grabbing a new mug before filling it with coffee. That was when she finally looked at him and her eyes widened. "Um, babe... are those... fangs?" She asked, taking a step back.
Andrew reached up and felt the fangs in his mouth. "Oh, I um, I was going to surprise you, play a little prank. That's all."
"Those sure don't look fake.. oh my god.. you knew I was bleeding before even I did and I looked at every piece of glass, you were still awake when I fell asleep, you were awake when I woke up... oh my god.."
Andrew gave her an apologetic look before going out the front door with an "I love you".
Sarah teared up slightly as he left, going back to his bed. At least it smelt like him and soon she was back asleep.
-----Two hours later-----
Sarah heard the front door open and soon saw Andrew in the bedroom door. "You're still here."
"Of course I am. What made you think I wouldn't be?"
He looked down and walked over to the edge of the bed. He didn't want to get too close in case she was scared of him now. Like the last girl who found out. "The way you freaked out. I've seen that look before. It's the look of someone who saw the real me... the kind of person who leaves once they find out what I am."
"What? You think just because you're a vampire that I'm going to leave? I told you last night that I love you and I still do. Yes, I was shocked and a little hurt... but only because you didn't tell me sooner. I know there are vampires out there... I never thought I would fall in love with one, but I know they are out there."
"How do you...?"
Sarah cut him off by putting her finger against his lips. "Is that really the part you are going to focus on or are you going to get under the sheets with me like a regular couple on a weekend morning?"
Andrew just laughed and moved so he was nex to her on the bed. Lifting the covers, he got underneath them and wrapped his arms around her waist. "I love you, you know that?"
"I know. Doesn't mean I don't like hearing it though." She whispered before pressing her lips against his. "And by the way, I had a friend who was attacked once.. they didn't get away with any of her blood but only because they were interrupted. She clearly saw his fangs."
"I hope it wasn't me." He said and kissed the top of her head. For once, he didn't have to hide who he was. He could be himself with Sarah... he knew that now. She wasn't going anywhere.
"No, it wasn't. She would have recognized you that night we met. She told me she would never forget his face. She was only about 10 when it happened. But she said she doesn't hate vampires, just hates their curse."
"Me too, babe. Me too." He whispered before rubbing her side. "Do you want to cuddle some more or go and get breakfast? I can reheat it."
Sarah smirked and moved them so she was straddling him. "Mm I think I want something else for breakfast." She whispered before pressing her lips against his in a passionate kiss. He gladly returned the kiss and rested his hands on her ass, moving her hips against his as they started up round two.
