Chapter Twelve

944 Words
Most of the next month for Sarah was spent studying. Her and Andrew did still get to see each other, but it was only once every couple weeks instead of most of the weekend. She was in the middle of midterms and was dealing with a lot of stress because of it. Although now midterms were over and she could finally relax a little bit; since it was Saturday, she headed over to the club because she knew from their previous text messages that Andrew was at the club waiting for her. She parked and saw a car that was very familiar. She just shook off the feeling, knowing many people had that specific model, and then walked into the club. She had been to the club so many times now that the security guards had no issues letting her into the club without waiting like everyone else. She stopped by the bar and had the bartender make her the usual, a strawberry margarita, before heading to the back of the club. She knocked twice on Andrew's office door then peeked her head in. "Hey, am I interrupting anything?" She asked as she closed the door behind her. As soon as Andrew had heard the knock, he lifted his head from his computer and smiled as he saw her walk in. "No, not at all. I was just finishing up, just logged off actually. Do you want to go out there and dance or stay here and talk?" "I was thinking we could dance for awhile and then maybe talk later. I am looking forward to having a couple drinks and having some fun now that I have some free time again." She said and stayed by the door since Andrew was already standing up to leave his office. He took her hand that didn't have the drink in it and she smiled soft, intertwining their fingers. "Sounds like a plan, beautiful. I was thinking you could stay at my place tonight." He said before opening the door. Suddenly the music got a lot louder and they had to almost yell in order to be heard above the music as they made their way back to the front of the club to the dance floor. "Oh yeah? I guess we will have to see how much I have to drink tonight." She said, not wanting to say for sure whether she would be spending the night with him. She did want to finally take their relationship to the next level, but she didn't want to be drunk while it happened. "Well, even if you do drink too much, I can still drive you to my place to sleep it off. I know a perfect remedy for hangovers." He said into her ear before pulling her close for them to dance. Since she had her back to him, she could see most of the dance floor. She paused for a second because she thought she saw someone that she recognized, the owner of the car, but they were gone in the next moment so she just let it go. 'It must have been my imagination from the stress...' she reasoned in her head before continuing to dance with Andrew. He was the one she wanted to focus on right now and the one that she wanted to keep her mind focused on. Turning around to face him, she ran her free hand through his hair and bit her lower lip. As they continued to dance, she continued to take drinks from her margarita and she was soon drinking from another one because she had already finished the new one. Soon, she had downed three drinks and she knew that two was normally her limit because anymore than that, she would have a headache the next day, but she wouldn't get drunk until four or more margaritas. "I'm cutting you off." He whispered in her ear before kissing her cheek. She just nodded and buried her head into his neck, giving it a couple kisses. "Okay.." She whispered and leaned up, kissing him on the lips. They continued to dance as they kissed, ignoring everyone else around them. Andrew then pulled them apart and ran a hand through her hair, smiling down at her. "Do you want to head to my place?" He asked her and she nodded, walking with him to the door. He drove them back to his place but when they got there, he brought her to his room and sat up in bed. She was already really tired when he laid her down because of the car ride and the alcohol. "Thank you for bringing me back here." She whispered before leaning up to kiss him. He kissed her back but then pulled away. "I don't think we should do anything tonight.. you've been drinking." He said and she just sighed. "But I'm not drunk." She said and laid back down with a small sigh. "Look, I do want to do that with you. But the first time I want to, I don't want you to have been drinking. You told me your cut off was two for a reason and you had three." He said, gently stroking her cheek. "I know... I just thought based on what I said last time I was here and you invited me back here.. I'm an idiot.." She whispered the last part and he instantly laid down with her and wrapped his arms around her. "You are not an i***t. I promise you that. I just don't want you to regret it." She just nodded and smiled soft before slowly falling asleep in his arms.
