Chapter Eleven

1003 Words
In the morning, Sarah slowly woke up to the smell of food cooking from the kitchen. She rubbed her eyes and looked around the room. She had never seen Andrew's room before but she had to say, it wasn't much of a room. Sure, there was a king sized bed and a closet full of clothes, but there weren't any posters or pictures on the wall. They were completely blank except for the light blue-gray paint that was on the walls. She had never seen a bedroom without something on the wall until now. Although part of her wasn't surprised. Andrew just never seemed to be the type to have things hanging all over the walls. In the other rooms of his penthouse, there were a lot of things hanging on the wall, so the other part of her was surprised to see nothing in his bedroom. She was brought back to reality when she heard a gentle knock on the door and Andrew's face slowly peaking in. "Ah, sleeping beauty is awake." He said as he made his way over to the bed. Sitting up, Sarah rubbed her eyes again and looked up at him. "Yeah, I smelt the food. What time is it anyway?" She asked, since the light from the sun was being forced in through the dark curtains. "It's almost nine. I was surprised you slept this late because you said earlier your sleeping in is around seven, but we did have a late night last night. Plus you seemed to have had a couple nightmares throughout the night. I heard you and helped you settle down before you woke up though." Sarah rubbed the back of her neck with a slight blush on her cheeks. "Yeah.. I sometimes get nightmares during the night.. I'm sorry you had to deal with them."  Andrew just shrugged before rubbing her back. "I didn't mind. I was just worried about you. As I've told you, I don't sleep much at night so I stayed up, just sitting on the bed so I could help you. I only left the bedroom a half hour ago in order to make you some breakfast before you have to leave." "Well, thank you. You didn't have to do that but it's very sweet. Although based on how you have been so far, it doesn't surprise me. You've always been very sweet with me." Sarah kissed his cheek before standing up and stretching. "So, breakfast then?"  "Yeah, we can go get you some breakfast." He said, then in order to cover, he just decided to tell a small lie. "I already had some while I was cooking so I'll just do some of the dishes while you eat." "Oh, no, why don't you sit with me at the table? You can do the dishes after I leave, right?" She asked, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I suppose I can. Especially if you want me to sit with you so much." He said and gave her a quick kiss before leading her out of his bedroom to the kitchen. He pulled out her chair and let her sit before gently putting the chair back in. He brought over a plate with a little bit of everything he made. Toast, eggs, waffles, and bacon. He remembered her saying that she didn't like sausage so he made sure to stay away from that. "I know I went a little overboard, but it's your first time staying over and I wanted to make sure you wouldn't leave here hungry." Sarah giggled and shook her head. "I certainly won't be hungry, but I won't be able to eat everything. This is a lot of food, babe... I mean, Andrew." He walked over and sat down with her at the table, handing over a mug of coffee with a splash of milk as he did so. He remembered it was her favorite way to drink coffee. "It's okay, I don't mind the nickname. I was actually thinking of a couple nicknames for you last night after our chat." Sarah was eating a piece of bacon and coughed slightly when she heard about him choosing a nickname for her. "Really? You thought about it?" "Well, yeah. I haven't been in a relationship in a while so I wanted to make sure I chose the right ones." Sarah just smiled and shook her head slightly before going back to eating. "What? Is there something wrong with that?" "No, not at all. I just haven't had anyone go through trouble like that for me before.. feels, nice." Andrew kissed her cheek before taking a drink of his coffee. One of the few things he could actually eat or drink without feeling nauseated the rest of the day. Most human food he couldn't handle. "It's no trouble at all. And anyone who hasn't given you the attention you deserve is an i***t. I do really like you and I'm not going to screw things up with that." "I like you too, and you couldn't screw things up with that. I promise. You mean a lot to me so it would take a lot more than that." She said and soon finished eating. "I should probably get going soon though. As much as I would like to stay, I do have things to do today." He got up and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Oh fine.. although I will be waiting for a message later today so we can see each other soon again." Sarah kissed his cheek and nodded. "I promise we will be able to see each other soon again." She got up and brought her plate to the sink before walking back over to him. "Thank you for bringing me to bed last night and for making breakfast. Maybe next time I spend the night, we do more than sleep.." "Mm, you make a tempting offer, Sarah. We will just have to see." Andrew said before helping her to her car outside.
