HECTOR'S POV:
Enjoying the view of the city below me in chaos, ultimate chaos, burning chaos, like a black rose blossoming in the night.
The darkness was only illuminated by the familiar red and blue light and an orchestra of sirens leading the cue.
This was the hardest I had pushed, in this area in one night, I was sure the news would carry it. What could I do? I shrugged, the devil’s son was bored.
“What did you all expect?” I whispered into the cool night breeze.
“You guys were just too peaceful, and I’m getting bored now”, I rolled my eyes, enjoying the pain and suffering of sinners as they panicked below me from where I perched on the rooftop.
Suddenly.
I sighted a familiar figure lying on the ground in fear. I squinted my eyes to sharpen my nighttime sight, carefully scrutinizing the spot.
It was her—
It was the girl from the bar that accompanied me. “I thought Nico said she was his woman, he couldn’t even fight for her”, I scoffed, “typical bull s**t”.
Humans will lie at every given opportunity. He would make the poor girl fall in love with him while he didn’t even know her name, “That’s it, wickedness and chaos should linger”. I laughed with joy and fulfillment, letting the orchestra of madness fill me up.
But it wasn’t enough. I was interested in this spot, it was inviting, and the whole chaos was regular, but still…
This was unfamiliar. I wanted to see how this gathering would turn out.
I descended from the building top I sat on as my throne, enjoying the night’s fight to another smaller rooftop where I could have a better view and audio of this unfolding drama.
Before I could land, a resounding slap echoed through the air, pulling my attention midair.
I froze, watching in the distance as the little lady landed a hot slap on one of the fierce-looking men. “f**k… he is twice your size”, I giggled as I sat.
“Tough girlie”, I cheered, resuming my stroll to the rooftop, crossing my legs, and rubbing my chin in awe.
“Don’t you dare touch me”, she yelled daringly, pointing at each of the men.
“Ouu, nice panties, how did she know I like p*****s in red panties?
“This is going to be a miraculous show”, I giggled, rubbing my palms together as I anticipated.
I could see tears well up in her eyes. “f**k! Just give them the goddamn p***y let’s get over with this. I’m not going to miss all the drama this night for your teaser. Get me the movie”, I grumbled, waving my hand lazily.
But then those eyes, those teary eyes begging them, maybe they should let her go already. I swallowed hard as it lit me up, burning my bones to act.
Am I feeling remorse right now? I’m the devil’s son. I brought the chaos, and now I want her to escape torment?
Hell no, she has to face it, she’s human— a good number of humans deserve to rot so… “Cry little demon, cry for daddy”, I whispered as she pushed one of the men hard across his chest with pain.
A slight grin curled on my face when the man didn’t even sway.
But my joy was short-lived. My heart stopped working, my breath seized, and my smile vanished like the sunlight covered by a thick cloud.
My eyes widened in shock as the man raised his hands to hit the lady, my heart tightening into a knot, and before I knew it…
Time
Stopped.
I accidentally froze the time.
Yes… I paused the world mid-breathe.
“f**k, what have I done now?”
I hovered lower at ground level.
“This lady…there’s something about her, something dark, something wrong— or maybe right, maybe she isn’t human too”.
I paused, brainstorming and contradicting.
“If she isn’t a human, why would she let these men treat her this way, she looks weak, she must be human”, I acknowledged.
I took a step closer, observing her, from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet, her every curve, the scent of her skin.
No
Yes
Yes, she had to be human.
“This smell, her hair, her skin, her blood, her eyes, only a human can be this beautiful”.
“I can’t let them touch her!” I yelled with fury. “Not just her, they should take someone else, they can’t have her on my watch, she looks innocent— too innocent to suffer. She didn’t belong in this dirt”.
I paused, scanning her once more, looking deep into her eyes. “It’s magnificent, a clean heart, a good soul, it has to be mine”, I whispered as my anger boiled further.
Grabbing the three men by their collars in rage and rising into the air, lifting them with me.
I should slam them hard across this asphalt right now but…
No.
Not yet.
What’s my reason?
What’s their sin to justify my wrath?
I bundled them together once more. “Let’s have a little chat”, I whispered, controlling the fury that had awoken inside of me, my hands shaking with rage as I let go of them.
I snapped my finger to release the yolk I had invoked.
A puppeteer and his puppets.
They began breathing.
The surprised look on their faces was enough to put a smile on mine.
“Surprise. Surprise”, I whispered intimidatingly.
“Who are you? What do you want? "What have you done to us?”, the man who yanked off my little lady’s skirt started.
I smirked, tilting my head playfully to the side.
“Men of little strength”, I muttered, shaking my head in disappointment.
“I had expected more”, I added.
“Shut the f**k up! Who are you? What have you done to me? My legs…I can’t feel my legs”, the second man yelled.
I chuckled, “And yet you have the gut to speak?”
They shivered. GOOD, FEAR.
A common person addressing me in such a tone? “How dare you!” I thundered.
The men shook like an earthquake beneath them, just what I wanted: FEAR.
“You have the right to chaos, you have the right to trouble, problems, fights, killings BUT…”
I paused, turning to my little lady where she sat curled up helplessly.
“Just look how fragile and innocent she looks. Your wicked heart couldn’t have mercy on such a pure soul, she hasn’t been contaminated, but you want to destroy her.
"Is that what I sent you to do?” I questioned again, my voice low and toxic, pointing to my fragile little lady in the corner.
I was their superior, the master of chaos. Even if they knew less of me, I existed.
And now… I’m here.
“I’m sorry sir, I didn’t… we didn’t… we never knew she was your master…” they stammered, exchanging confused glances.
“But she is a call-girl, she serves in the bar at the sinner’s den, and is such a fat ass, how do you expect us to risk such temptation? My fingers shake at the sight of her luscious breast. Just this once, let me have her. "I promise I won’t kill or hurt her”, the man continued-his last mistake.
I turned slowly, so slow, robotic, burning with darkness directly from hell. “No need asking, you are useless to the earth, I have a very good reason for your stupidity”, I sighed.
“And lots of drinks were bought the day you were born, celebrating a nuisance, a waste of resources. I hate to see that you even drank the same water the innocent little lady drank from. "I’m glad you have to go”, I whispered in fury, with two fingers pointed at him.
“Let’s weave you, drop by drop, every ounce of water, say the magic word”, I ordered.
“Huh?” He looked at me puzzled and slowly exchanged glances with the other men.
“Now he’s wasting my time too, BEG ME”, I spelled the words out, rolling my eyes as the man’s demeanor irritated me.
“P… ple… please…”, he stammered, bowing his head as his body trembled.
“Perfect”, I blurted nonchalantly.
“But you can’t be redeemed by that, you know… get on your knees”, I added with a smirk as I watch him do my bids.
He obeyed, kneeling like a soldier, loyal and compatriot.
And then I began, my eyes burning with desire as I dehydrated his body slowly.
His skin crumpled, his color draining, his breath ragged in pain.
“Yes… that’s it… just like that…
“Dry up that innocent water as vengeance for Mi lady…”
Every drop that once gave his body life is now a tribute to her.
“oouf…
"He smells like barbecue…” I muttered.
I giggled as I finished with his head, his alcohol stench filling the air.
For a more dramatic effect, I lifted his head, adoring his perfectly dried-out skin— my little work of art, my trophy.
and then…
I slammed his head to the ground.
“Beautiful!“ I yelled with a theater bow.
The remaining men could do nothing than shiver, I didn’t have time for them at least.
I let the moment sink into their skull like a reminisce, horrific and glorious.
I turned around.
“Alright, run along now”, I ordered the other men, my tone no longer childish but ruthless and fierce.
The silence announced me.
The lady shivered.
For now.
MINE…
