4 -My Benefactor

Wednesday, 6 PM

It's been two weeks in my new place. I am so glad that everything going well. Still trying to settle well.

I sip my evening tea and inhale deeply. But one more thing still not resolve yet. I need to find part time job because I planned to send back my house scholarship funds to home.

I heard a door unlocked from my neighbors. Eric.

Its been awhile. I haven't seen him after that morning. A good thing I guess. I still do not want to engage with him in any other situation since I think He has mood swing.

Eric Arne.

Arne? No way. Is he?

I take my phone and start research. He is one of the Arne's family. And stumble upon their Wikipedia page,well apparently they are famous and ancient. Their families has been a great support for the England royalties. The Duke of Arne is his father. Arne has 4 children. Emma Arne, the chairwoman of Adore foundation that support education of children. The second child is Eric Arne, a famous Formula One driver under Mercedes, I scrolled his news and seeing his face in some top magazine as sexiest man alive (really?). The face of him in some brands and apparently he is very handsome when he smile. And then I stop in his dating news, he was spotted spending his time in Malibu with his girlfriend. Bianca it was refer as a famous nepo baby, since her father is a famous actor in England and her mother is a part of royal family. Bianca herself is a famous supermodel, her runway photos were a lot. Apparently they are the power couples in here.

And the third and fourth children of Arne's family, the twins. Cecilia and Chris. No picture of them in the description of the wikipedia page.

While I was dive into detective modes in search of my neighbor family. w******p Notification came from Kate.

Kate - Hey Lucy, do you still need part time job?

Me - yeah of course.

Kate - okay, I got one vacancy for you in the cafe. Meet me tomorrow at 3 pm

Me - great thanks Kate

Friday, 8 PM

This is my second day in my part time job at the cafe. For now, i still help in the back kitchen to help on dishwashing.

"Hey Lucy." Kate come in from the front. "Come to the front I'll teach you to make the drinks."

I smile and follow her. Finally, I can be in the front. Then Kate, teach me about how to make the coffee and the recipe for certain drinks. I am a fast learner, I think I will master this quickly. "Okay, I'll give the next customer drinks for you." Kate said.

"Yes, okay." then I waiting for the next customer to arrive.

Not for awhile, the door bell from the entrance ring. And I look to the direction immediately and smile. But that smile change when I see him.

Eric.

His eyebrow slightly moved recognize my face. Then he come to the cashier to order.

"Hi, What do you want to order?" Kate asked.

He see the menu and answer,"one hot cappucino and one brownies. thanks." And slightly look at me. I change my gaze to avoid his.

Okay cappucino. Where is the recipe. here.. okay.. just follow. step 1 ..... okay.....

yup... finally its done.

when I finish and want to put cappuccino in the waiting table. Eric was there waiting, rather than sit in any empty chair.

"So you work here?" he said.

"Yes, part time, here is your cappuccino."

"Thanks." he answered and take the drinks and sit to the table near the window.

He looked to his phones. He probably waiting for his girlfriend.

"Great job." Kate said.

"Thankyou." I replied. Well, probably he destined to be always the first one. Funny things, he is the first person I met in the apartment, the first person that ever mad at me here, the first person to say sorry, and now the first person drink my cappuccino. Funny.

Then, the doorbell ring again. when I see the entrance door, a woman with slim figure like a model dressed with simple pink shirt and jeans. Wait, I think I saw her face.

Ah... Bianca, the girlfriend.

She search around the room and caught Eric in her eyes. Then they kissed and sit together.

And came to my realization. Probably Eric is my first in everything here. But not me for him.

A bittersweet realization, I felt inside.
