Chapter 11Bai Loa, for some reason, continued to blame Aki and his family for the death of her daughter and for Tsung leaving town. Aki knew she spoke this way because of remorse, but no one caused Chi-Ling’s death but Chi-Ling. Even though she knew what she was supposed to do to get her diabetes and hypertension under control, she didn’t do it. As for Mrs. Loa, she had no one to blame but herself and her abusive husband. Aki couldn’t believe that man had done what he’d done to Tsung and walked around with his head held high as if nothing happened. He also blamed Tsung for not coming forward years ago when the abuse began. But all of that was water under the bridge.
