Chapter Seven --1--They always began with history. It seemed today as though they were once again telling Consuelo, as they had done on Sunday morning in the living room above them, what details they remembered of their past. She shined with delight at what they remembered and how they remembered it. Today that incandescence was gone, and they had the sense of telling a story for the second time to a person no longer interested in hearing it.
