"Could we go to the police?" Thane asked.
"The police brought us back to Him," said Barengaria. "They would just do it again."
"Can we get out of this trailer?"

"Yes." Yardena rose to see through the window more clearly. "The fire has a tail."
They all looked. The tail was creeping slowly toward them. Suddenly, it flared up as it touched the trail of gasoline. They started back as if they could be harmed by the flaring fire way over there. But as the fire raced toward the trailer, they realized the danger.
