I don't know why my sister Nikki has to be such a b!tch. Standing at my locker getting ready for first period, I hear my sister's annoying voice call out to Sydney, who is across the hall from me. She and Sydney used to be friends. Not hang out every day kind of friends, but dance studio friends. Then Sydney got hot (personal opinion), Nikki got a big head and turned into super b!tch. Like their freshman year isn't hard enough? Why do they feel the need to constantly fight with each other?
I've had a thing for Sydney for a couple of years now, but she was friends with my sister and I'm not exactly popular here at school. I do just enough to stay out of trouble at school, but get into plenty of trouble in my free time. As long as I stay out of jail my parents don't care, Nikki is the big deal at our house.
"Hey Greg, what's the plan for tonight?" my friend Brad asks me as he crosses the hallway to my locker.
"I don't know yet, I have to pick Nikki up from dance at 8. After that we can drive around and see what kind of trouble we can get into."
" Sounds good, pick me up before you go get Nikki and we'll just drop her off and go."
" Dude, when are you gonna stop crushing on my sister? NO.CHANCE.IN.HELL. You will stay far away from her."
Brad rolls his eyes and walks away ignoring me as he heads to class. Brad and I have been best friends since he moved here in the 1st grade. He has had a crush on my sister since 3rd grade. But I know too much about him to even think about letting him date my sister. No matter how much of a b!tch she is, she deserves better.

GREG: Get UR A$$ out here
BRAD: On my way out
I text Brad when I get to his house so we aren't late picking up Nikki. If I am late on Thursday nights I have to hear her complain the whole way home about how she had to sit and watch the fat cow get Nikki's private lesson. How Nikki deserves it more and that Sydney is there on scholarship so it isn't fair.
She would go on for hours if I let her. However, since I have a thing for Sydney, I didn't want to hear it. While Brad encouraged Nikki's ranting (anything to get on her good side), once she was in the car, I drove her home quickly to get her annoying voice out of my car.
"Hey Nik, I am just dropping you off and then running Brad home. Tell mom not to wait up, I will be home later," I say as we pull in our driveway. We live in the gated community in town.
"Are you going to go slum it on the otherside of town? Do you have the attorney on speed dial?" Nikki asks laughing as she gets out of the car. One would think she would appreciate what I do for her instead of giving me a hard time.
Part of the reason why I stay away from Sydney is because while Nikki was joking with me, she wasn't too far off base. I find myself on the wrong side of the law more times than not and the only reason I get away with it is because my dad pays a good amount of money to keep it quiet.
Sydney deserves better than me. She is going to be a famous dancer someday come hell or high water. That girl has got determination like I have never seen in anyone else's eyes. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm so drawn to her. For now I just admire her from afar and hope that some day I will deserve to be in her life.
