In the spacious bedroom quarters fit for royal quarters, George sat on the bed while holding Felicia’s hand to calm her. After such a moment, he noticed Felicia who is groining in pain to stand up. She was bedridden for months and lack of energy is keeping her down. To think such an easily curable disease to befall upon her. John was prepping to synthesize for a cure as a long table are in front of him and three sets of vials and syringe created beforehand resting on the side. He was ready to introduce modern medicine that was discovered in 1944.

Synthesizing a cure is a hard thing in this era, he has no modern equipment that can deal with such a complicated task. But there is always an easy way to create it. Using his ability. As long as he knows the chemical composition of a compound, he can create it. In this case, he wants to maximize full efficiency by combining sets of chemical compounds to create the streptomycin but due to Felicia’s health urgency. He had no choice but to synthesize straightly to streptomycin.

He picked the vials one by one and opened the lid. He placed his hands on the opening of the vials covering it and imagined the composition of streptomycin.

As a renowned doctor back in my world, I have read so many articles relating to diseases, cures, human anatomy, research, and everything. As a man who has a photographic memory, I can recall the composition of the streptomycin like searching for a book on a fully-stacked shelf and arranged neatly and organized.

First, I write the chemical composition of streptomycin, it has 21 Carbons, 40 Hydrogens, 1 Chlorine, 7 Nitrogen, and 12 Oxygen. Now stepping that aside, it's time for writing its chemical structure. And after that, a gleaming light within my hands will glow and the streptomycin will make its way to the lid like a water tap. After I completely filled the vials with streptomycin, its time for the administration of cure.

George has a relieved expression on his face and immediately complied, he lifted Felicia on her bed gently, while John was prepping for the right dosage.

“Please extend your arms to me, your highness,” He said softly.

She doesn’t know for what reasons, but she did it anyway since his brother trusted him. He saw a white little cotton on his hands and drip a little amount of water to it. It looks like water to him but to John, it was alcohol.

“I will administer the cure now” He sat next to her, “First, I’m going to rub it with ethyl alcohol that will disinfect any bacteria present on the area,’

“What?” She said not following the process.

John applied it but slowly rubbing it on her elbow, it has a smell comparable to the wine that his friends are drinking. It was definitely not water.

“Now that I applied the alcohol, I will insert this to your intravenous veins where the cure will flow to your system, it will hurt like a bite of an ant for a brief moment.”

With a syringe filled with 30 milligrams of streptomycin on his hand. He needs to find the intravenous veins on her elbow and after a brief moment, he found it. He pierced her delicate skin that was covering the intravenous veins and Felicia responded with an ouch. He gently pushes the plunger to push the streptomycin liquid onto her and done.

“I will continue to inject her twice a day until the illness is done.” He said, “I will personally administer it so don’t worry George, maybe tomorrow she can walk now. The time for streptomycin to work is 8 hours.”

“Thank you so much, John!” He pounced and hugged him joyously.

“I’ll take my leave now your Majesty” He bowed and left the bedroom.

George burdened on his heart gradually wears off, thanks to John's expertise in medicine, he can now work without worrying about his sister condition. He stayed there for more like hours waiting for her to sleep so he can return to his king’s duties which he’s clearly sure that his table is filled with two mountains of papers again.

He gives a goodnight kiss to her and leaves the door quietly, so Felicia won’t notice.

He hurriedly went to his office and as expected, before him is two stacks of papers waiting to be signed by the king. But thanks to the medicine administered by John, he was surely motivated to do his work. He even called the maids to set-up a bed in his office, so he doesn’t need to walk for five minutes from his bed to the king’s office.

Humming as he signed the papers on his table, his hands are moving at full-speed without wanting to stop. Suddenly, a door opened, and he saw three figures on the gap between his two mountain papers. It was Lumi, Tuka and Emmanuel.

“Where were you on these past hours” He gives off a stern voice, “You are supposed to be on the side of the king and yet you are outside dawdling on the helicopter.”

The three yipped, trying to make an excuse but lying in front of him is a dishonorable act.

“We were amazed at your invention your Majesty,” Said the man on the black robe concealing his body, “But, I’m also the reason why the two is not on your side since I forced them to come along to check the interior of the helicopter.”

Emmanuel said, but George doesn’t care at all since he was still not stopping his pen.

“You’re Emmanuel, right?” He said but he didn’t look at him, “You said that you can memorize anything once you read something is that right?”

Emmanuel felt like it was an evaluation, so he answered firmly with a yes.

“Hm,” He stopped moving his pen and stood up to his seat. He went to the bookshelves filled with books. Afterward, he went to Emmanuel's position who was standing in front of his desk, and gave him a book.

“I want you to study all the context there.” He continued, “There is a summarized test at the end of the book. I want you to answer it after you’d finished the book. Your position here in the palace will be base on the scores that you will get after the test. So, If I were you, I’ll get started now.”

Even though his voice is intimidating, he accepted the challenge with a nod. He was surely confident that he will be able to pass the test since he can memorize the book. But, when he opened the book, it was full of mathematical equations, concepts, and lessons that he has not familiar with.

“The key is not to memorize all its contents,” George said, “but to fully understand it.” I will give you the time you need and when you’re ready. You know where to find me.”

To Emmanuel, this new knowledge will test his determination to join the palace after seeing the helicopter that was theorized in George’s proposal.

“You will expect it your Majesty” He deeply bowed reverently and immediately left the room.

Now, there are only three persons in this room, Lumi and Tuka. Which are supposed to be George’s aid. He looked at Lumi who looked puzzled, maybe because of the helicopter?

“Lumi, since you are here. Can I ask you a favor?” He said Lumi startled.

“Uhm, Of course, your Majesty, what is it?”

George went back to his desk and pulled the drawer and picked the mail stamped with his seal. He approached Lumi again and gave the letter.

“This is for General Carmine, I want you to give that letter” He continued, “There is a change of plans, I will not go to the capital of Bayronians after I’ve dealt with the domestic issues at hand on this kingdom. So, I decided that he will be the one to manage the affairs of that kingdom. In that letter contains rules and laws that are inviolable while occupying the principality. That’s all and you may now leave.”

“I understand your Majesty, I will return at once after I passed the message and stand beside…”

“There is no need.” George interrupted.

“Eh? Your Majesty?” perplexed at his words she can’t help but asked.

“You don’t need to treat me like a child anymore. Besides, you are just standing beside me without doing anything like a robot who’s waiting for a command. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t need you anymore. It’s just that you are deprived of your freedom serving me as your lord. So, I drafted a schedule where you can do your job and when so you can enjoy some liberty.” He stopped and picked something on his desk, “Here’s your new schedule. You will work at me 8 hours a day six times a week and a day-off on the seventh day.”

“Your Majesty, I can’t accept this. I was born to be your attendant until you die…”

“What do you mean by that?” He said unfazed, “Are you saying that your life is ultimately decided upon your birth? That I can’t believe it. It might be true that your family is the one serving the royal family for centuries but that doesn’t mean that you can’t live your own life.” He continued, “Isn’t there something you like on the outside world, but you can’t do it because of your duties? Is there a man you like and love outside this palace, but you can’t because of your duties?” He placed his hands on her shoulder, “You don’t need to be stoic, if you feel you are in a bind you can tell me, I’m your childhood friend after all.”

“Your majesty…”

“After you sent that mail you can go to sleep,” he said, “you don’t need to be with me all the time where in fact, I find it bothersome.”

“You’re wrong your Majesty!” She denied, “There is nothing in this the outside world that I like except…” Then her body squirmed side by side, “I don’t have someone that I like outside of this palace.”

“What do you mean?” George placed his hands to his chin.

“Do you remember when we were kids when the children of nobility are bullying me?”

He remembered that he is the one who stood up against those bullying and beat the s**t out of them. If he were in the same shoes, he would do the same.

“I remember,” he said, “But I already beat them and that caused my father to beat me.”

“Can I tell you a story, George?” She said.

“I don’t mind”

With his confirmation, she started. “When I was a kid, I wasn’t good at talking with people and being around them. I had good grades, at least. I couldn’t make any friends, so I just studied all the time. But… I saw you complaining about how hard the test we had on mathematics and looked lost so as your attendant I whispered the answer to you but the way you looked at me back then is so intimidating. So, I started to apologize for my sudden intrusion fumbling my hands.”

“Are you a genius?” The little George asked.

“That made me surprised a little hehe…so when I started helping you on that day, you’ve always disturbing me with my studies regardless of what I am doing. You even sneaked to my bathroom just to ask for an answer. But, after seeing you got a higher score, you were super happy at that time.”

"It’s all thanks to Lumi. Thanks a lot! Let’s be friends!” The little George said with a joyous expression.

“But I’m your attendant, I can’t be your friend!”

“Who cares? For me, you are my greatest friend of all time!” He grabbed her hands to assure her.

“Yeah.”

“Oh, how embarrassing.” She covered her face and turned around writhing.

“Why would you go so far for me?” He asked.

“It’s obvious. It’s because…I love you.” She declared and George can’t help but gasp.

Lumi. The first friend I ever made. I can’t hide things from Lumi anymore, not with the way she feels.

“I said it, I said it…”

“Tuka, can you give us some room?”

“Huh?” Lumi's joyous expression is slowly turning into a gloomy one. Will she face rejection? Or is that George is good enough to keep out Tuka out of this so Lumi can’t feel embarrassed towards her when she heard the rejection.

Tuka left the room.

“I’ll tell you everything, so hear me out. I’m not the George you are looking up anymore.”

“Wh-what do you mean?” She said in disbelief she was clearly puzzled.

“I’m saying that I’m not George Ametus anymore and the rest of his friends is different anymore.” He said with a clenched fist and firmly voice, “Come on. You can tell it by looking at the helicopter we made? Why do you think such an inept prince to solve its domestic issues quickly and let alone pass new policies and reforms?” He continued, “But, I can still remember his original memories embedded. I can’t understand who I am anymore. It’s new to me.”

“Since when?” She asked dubiously.

“The eight hours before the royal family died on the explosion.” He said, “We found ourselves woke up on different eras and customs. To be exact, we found ourselves waking up in George’s room where amounts of wine and food are placed on the table.”

“So, the ministers are?” She knew the answer, but she needs to confirm.

“They are too suffering on this phenomenon. I am gonna tell you a story about us, you might not believe us, but it is the truth. First, I am George Lindon, I was the president of the country called the United States. Adams was my secretary of agriculture who is now the minister of agriculture, Pierce is a businessman on my world and now the minister of commerce, Alexander is my secretary of interior which is now the minister of interior, John is a renowned doctor, Benjamin is tech geek which is now the minister of HUD, and lastly, Jay our weapons experts and which is now the minister of energy.

“We died in the same way how the royal families died. Terrorist attack. We were having a party at Adams's house, but a missile hit us and suddenly we found ourselves here. Hearing that story may change your feelings about me. But it is the truth. You’re smart Lumi, I think you can figure it out. Honestly, I want to tell you when we first met. But it will cause a commotion, so I played along. There’s no point in hiding it in the future, we are going to use our knowledge from that world and apply it here, it’s the least that we can do. We don’t know what happened to the originals but…I don’t anymore.” He concluded

“We examined the foods and liquor that the group eat when having their own party. Sadly, there is no trace of the poisonous substance found.” He said, “Now, that you heard our story. What will you do now? Or what the council will do now? When they found out that the king is not the prince itself, there will be chaos. I decided to open it up with you, well I don’t care what will you do to the seven of us. If you want us gone, we will leave.” He continued, “but before you do that, I ask you to heed my request. Let us cure Felicia’s illness first and after that, she can be the queen of Ametus. I will abdicate it so please.” He prostrated.

“It doesn’t matter anymore.”

“Huh?”

“Because this country needs you, the populace is starting to like you, you’ve won the war and has many promises on the people. If you suddenly give out the throne. It will be more chaotic than you’d imagined.” She continued, “But, don’t expect me to treat you like George’s. I still don’t know your true nature.”

Thomas stood up.

“Are you saying you’re accepting it?”

“You died in your former world, right? Maybe this is a second chance for you that God gives. So, take care of his body from now on.” 

“I don’t know the reason why we were sent here but please take care of me from now on. By the way, to introduce ourselves before, my name is George Lindon.” He extended his hands.

“I am Lumi Neileigh” And they shook each other’s hand, “I think I know how you were transported here.”

“Huh?”

“Two years ago, the Empire of Baharuth conducted a hero summoning. Some say he was from the modern era that used his knowledge to develop the Empire even stronger. He was now the chancellor of the Empire.”

A door was opened abruptly, he was familiar with the voice. It was from Alexander.

The two turned their glances towards them and saw a little girl.

“I found the greatest treasures here in this universe!” He proudly said and introduces the little girl with his hand.

“Alexander, I didn’t know you were a pedophile. But there is no time to joke around, did you find some coal deposits? Mineral deposits?”

“I was about to say that” And brings out a map. “This mountain has a literal mountain of a variety of resources. It also has coal deposits enough to power this kingdom for 100 years. And with the bonus, I also found an elder dwarf!”

“Elder dwarf? This kid is an elder dwarf?” George looked at the girl who appears to be the same age as Felicia.

“Elder dwarf?!” Lumi exclaimed in surprise.

“You know her?” George asked.

“Yes, according to the legends, the elder dwarf is the pinnacle of the dwarves and has a tremendous amount of knowledge.”

Then the girl bowed down before him. “You’re the king of this kingdom and Alexander here said that you also had tremendous knowledge. If that is true then let me serve you my King but in exchange. I want you to give me all your treasured knowledge and a workshop for research.”

“Hmm, I will evaluate your abilities first if you are worthy to know the knowledge you’re talking about. But you should know that I am not alone. I have six companions who have the knowledge you seek. We are called the founding fathers of my world. So, if you want to declare your utmost loyalty, pledge it to the founding fathers, not to me.”

“Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!” Alexander was shocked, “Don’t tell me, George, you already told Lumi?”

“I already did, and she accepted it calmly,” He said, “Now, the final curtains are about to open tomorrow. The revitalization project is starting tomorrow.”
