Tess cannot stop smiling, it satisfies her to find Ashley on the ground. After Ashley met up and asked her to join with her to the karaoke bar where she planned to disgrace Angel. She saw it as a good idea, Ashley knew she was in love with Sawyer and wanted him more than anything and yet, never told her that she herself had undying feelings for him too.
So, to her, Ashley betrayed her and she ain’t going to take it easy. This is payment for using her in order to get what she wants, only if she had been wise enough then, she would have figured that Sawyer wasn’t hers in the first place and Ashley would have not been able to use her.
