Chapter 4: The Hospital “I wish you hadn’t worn those pants in that neighborhood,” Rahim said, pushing his chair next to Drew’s IV unit. “The injuries aren’t that bad,” Drew said. “I’ll be out of here soon.” “You’re dyslexic, not deaf,” Rahim said. “You heard what the doctor said.” “The broken ribs will heal,” Drew mumbled. But his leg was so bad, he might not walk again without crutches. Rahim had been harsh all day, but Drew thought he deserved his anger. “Hey, I know it’s not the Venetian, but this hospital bed is kind of comfortable. Come snuggle up.” Rahim’s face softened.
