At the airport terminal, Reggie and Carlos headed in different directions. One went to the American Airline check-in desk for the flight to London at five P.M., and the other went to the United Airlines desk for the flight to Chicago at six. “I’ll tell my mother to give you your part of the award money as soon as I deposit the check,” was the first thing Reggie said when they met at the security checkpoint. “Reggie, relax,” Carlos said, giving him a pat on the shoulder. “Don’t worry about the money, I don’t need right away.” He nodded and then sighed. “I’m sorry, I’m just nervous…” “I know.
