Jack and West stay true to their word. On Friday night, Dominic goes out with them to a party while I find myself stretched out on Eli's couch watching reruns of The Office. I keep my phone in my hand at all times, fearful that the hospital is going to call and tell me the three of them were admitted for alcohol poisoning. All the talk of drinking I had to listen to this week only scared me; Jack said he'd be the sober one to drive and oversee the night (and the events leading up to the laying of Dominic). I pray he doesn't cave and drink.
My phone is silent until about midnight and it's Jack who breaks it. The incoming call throws both me and Eli off. He immediately turns down the television and watches me with wide eyes. I explained to him earlier why I'm so on edge and I may or may not
