“He will know when the time is right,” Diego interjected firmly, his tone resolute.
Both Claudia and I turned toward him, disbelief etched on her face.
“No! He should and will never find out,” she insisted, her voice rising in defiance. “He can’t find out!”
The finality in her tone left no room for argument, her determination unyielding. The tension simmered between us, heavy and unresolved and I hated to be caught in this crossfire between these secret lovers. One thing was clear though; Claudia wasn’t ready for her father to know anything about her secret entanglement with Diego. And for now, I was caught in the middle of it all and I didn't like it.
“For now, I won’t say anything,” I said firmly, my voice steady despite the chaos swirling in my mind after a long silence
