Chapter Twelve

1872 Words
It’s early morning, around four am. Just like clockwork, Catherine begins to stir. The first thing she realizes is she naked. The second is a heat source in the bed other than herself. She rolls over to find Vincent passed out cold with his back to her. Her head is still fuzzy because she closes her eyes like she didn’t see him. Within seconds her eyes pop open and she jolts up to a sitting position. Quickly the memories flood her mind of the activities that ended a few hours ago. She slept with Vincent, several times, all night. She hasn’t done that since college. She turns to see if she had woken him. He had rolled on to his back, a soft snore passes through his nose. She gently lays back down on her side facing him. She takes in his feature, those lips that had touched every part of her body. His hair that kept falling in his eyes when he was on top of her. She had to hold it back at one point. It was so soft and looked sexy as hell all messy and wild. She smiles, the fringe was over his right eye. She lightly brushes it to the side hoping he will stay asleep. He groans a little and opens his mouth slightly. God, he so handsome… Catherine thought. Her eyes fall to his bare chest. His body was all muscle, washboard abs, bulging pecks and biceps. She wonders how she got so lucky for the opportunity. He could do so much better than her. Too bad it’s over, he’ll wake, and look for a way so it won’t be awkward to get me to leave his room. So, she figured she would do him a favor and leave before he wakes. Simple, right? She watches him sleep for fifteen more minutes before she slips out of bed and into the bathroom. Luckily, she grabbed her bag before they came up here last night. She puts on her riding pants, tank top, and riding jacket. After she stepped into her black boots, she uses her phone as a light to find her clothes scattered on the floor. She stuffed them quickly in her bag along with the rest of the wine. He can afford to buy himself more, so I’m taking this. She thought with a crooked smile. She also found the strip of picture Vincent had shown to Tammy on the floor next to Vincent’s jacket. She threw that in her bag and zips it up. She got a piece of paper and wrote a little note. With one last look at that s*x god who didn’t disappoint and blew her mind, she left closing his door smoothly. She had done it! She successfully had a one-night stand. The best part is the player is the one waking alone. The shoe is now on the other foot and she’d bet he’s going to be upset that he got played. It really is too bad, she wanted to keep him, but he would only be doing this to her if she woke up any later. It’s a good thing for the past two weeks she has been getting up at four every morning. Not by choice, of course. Her body has been restless lately. She couldn’t wait to tell Lexie about her night but first she needed a shower and some pain relievers. Her body aches from all the physical activity she has done that night. She gets her helmet and keys from the desk clerk. She puts on her helmet, throws her bag on her back and climbs on her bike. She revs the engine as she pulls into traffic. She opens it up on the freeway heading to her apartment. The rush soon comes as her mind is clear, but there’s a nagging thought that makes its’ way to the front of her mind. Vincent. She feels guilty for doing him this way. She had a good time with him that afternoon. She reminds herself he has done this countless of times, according to Tammy, and would have done it to her if she didn’t do it first. She shrugs off the feeling and chuckles. To be a fly on the wall to see his reaction would be priceless. Once a player always a player, karma came around and just bit his ass. Vincent rolls over and opens his eyes. The bed was empty. He sits up quickly and looks around. He couldn’t believe it, he had been played!  He stands and finds the note she had left. Vincent, thanks for a wonderful afternoon and an even better night. Hope you don’t mind I took the wine. I hope our paths cross again. If not, it was a pleasure meeting you. Kat aka Kitten He smiles, after the second time he had taken her, she playfully purred in his ear and sucked on his ear lobe similarly how he had done to her. The rest of the night he started calling her Kitten. He wanders into the bathroom and uses the toilet then sits on the side of the bed. He opens the drawer to see how many condoms he had left. He didn’t have a single one out of a ten pack. He couldn’t believe they had s*x that many times. It’s been years since he pulled an all nighter. He was worn out. He flops backwards and stares up at the ceiling with his hands behind his head. He should be angry as hell at the way she left, but he had done it plenty of times in the past. What he felt was empty. Now he knew how those girls felt waking to an empty bed. He wanted to get in his car and search for her. He didn’t want it to be over, he wasn’t done with her. The pleasure he received from her body was intense and addicting. He didn’t know if it was the lack of s*x for the past week had to do with it. However, he still had a good feeling about her. That feeling has never led him astray before. Go with your gut, his father would always say. His gut was telling him this woman was the one he wanted to keep. He had a really good time with her that afternoon and the s*x they had was mind blowing. He wanted more, she must have felt the same way, she even got him going a few times when he thought he couldn’t do it anymore. She surprised him by climbing on top of him. Pure ecstasy filled his brain watching her body flex and her breast bounce. She rode him hard and fast making his toes curl and his back arch. Just thinking about it made his d**k hard and his body carve her. He curses as he picks up his clothes and heads in the bathroom. He takes a shower, shaves, gets dressed and leaves to meet Brad in the café in the resort. Brad and Tammy are sitting near the window. Brad smirks as Vincent approaches and sits down across from them. “So, how did your night go?” Brad asks taking a sip of coffee. “Pretty well.” Vincent simply said. He orders a latte with espresso and a paper. Then folds his hands and look out the window. “That’s it? You’re not going to elaborate?” Tammy asks annoyed. “I don’t kiss and tell, especially about your sister. We had a good time and she left before I woke up. That’s all you need to know.” Vincent replied shortly. Tammy chuckled. “What is so funny?” Vincent getting irritated. “She played you and you don’t want to admit it! I told you to watch out for her. She’s a wildcat on the prowl and just as wild.” Tammy said pointing her finger at him. “Well, I didn’t expect for it to go that far. I tried to resist but she made it vary difficult. I had no intension of playing her, I wanted to keep her. I still do.” He says crossings his arms and speaking through his teeth. “I also told you she didn’t want a relationship right now. She told you at the photo shoot that she couldn’t handle one right now, that she has too much on her plate. I knew she was going to run. Plus, she was burned pretty bad by her last boyfriend. She was hearing wedding bells while he was sleeping around. She even bought him a new car. She loved that guy and gave him everything. He took her heart and smashed it on the ground. She walked in on them.” Tammy explains. “You’re kidding.” Vincent snorts now angry at Catherine’s ex. “I probably shouldn’t be telling you this but seems how you are upset, I figured that would put things in perspective. I watched you guys from afar and saw how well you guys got along. She probably liked you but is afraid to commit to another playboy.” Tammy pick up her coffee and looks around innocently. “Tammy, what did you tell her?” Brad asks sternly. “What?! What makes you think I said something?” Tammy exclaims, her cheeks heat up. “Because you’re my wife and I know you.” Brad replies putting a large arm around her shoulders. “Fine! I didn’t lie to her, I told him about girls from his past and his stripe clubs and playboy activities. I’m sorry Vincent, I didn’t believe you were serious about settling down, and although we don’t get along, I couldn’t see her getting hurt by you. Mom is in no condition to pick up the pieces this time so it would fall on me. You and I would have problems and it would be conflict of interest for Brad. I thought it was for the best.” Tammy confessed. “Well, now we’ll never know if she will ever give Vincent a chance. You aired his dirty laundry to someone who was already on the mend knowing full well how she would react. Now you are going to fix it. This time, my dear, it’s you in the doghouse.” Brad scolds. “Just give her time, Vincent. If she really felt something for you, she’ll come around.” Tammy said quickly, she took his hand into her. “You better hope so, I’ll never forgive you if she doesn’t.” Vincent snaps pulling his hand from her. He stands and nods at Brad. He turns to leave, but Brad grabs his arm. “Hey, I got to tell you a few things. First, I got a call back from Mr. Spade. We have a meeting with him tomorrow at nine. Second, I saw Catherine leave this morning. I was smoking a cigarette on the balcony, around four am. She got on a crotch rocket and headed North. A motorcycle! When Tammy said a bike, I though she meant a pedal bike.” “No way!” Vincent said in disbelief. It explained why her thighs were so strong while her legs were wrapped around his waist. This only made her more exciting. This girl was what he’s been looking for. He would wait forever for her to come around. She was going to his one way or another. When he wants something, he puts his nose to the grind and gets it. This was no different. Catherine will be his wife someday, whatever it takes.
