Lexie is sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee when Catherine comes in to the door. Catherine is wearing her black and yellow reflector motorcycle gear, her metallic mid-night blue helmet in her hand. She hangs the keys to her bike up on the key rack and plops down next to Lexie. Catherine lays her head back and lets out a woosh of air. She raises her head and turns toward Lexie with a look of pure euphoria.
“Where have you been, it’s six in the morning?” Lexie asks perplexed.
“I went for a ride on my bike my mother got me for my birthday. Man, it rides like a dream. You’d be surprised how open and clear the freeway is at four o’clock in the morning. I opened that beast all the way, girl. It was crazy, I was freaking out at first. Then a rush washed over me, and I feel high as hell.” Catherine replies with a goofy smile. Her cheeks are flush and a few beads of sweat are on her upper lip.
“Okay,” Lexie draws it out while she drops her eyes to her coffee, “but why were you out at four in the morning?” she brings her eyes back up.
“Oh! I couldn’t sleep anymore. I’ve been really restless lately. I keep feeling like I need to be doing something. So, I decided to go for a ride, I never thought I go that fast. I feel so much better now. So clear minded and focused. I feel like I could take on the world right now. I haven’t felt this good in years.” Catherine explains standing.
Catherine goes into the kitchen and gets out the orange juice from the refrigerator, then a glass from the cupboard. After she pours herself a glass, she returns the juice and sits back down next to Lexie.
“It’s just, I have had a lot on my mind with Mom’s cancer, the discovery of Danny’s betrayal, the break-up, the escort job, and where I’m going from here. I needed to clear my head, as I was driving down the freeway as my mind tried to continue to think about those things, the bike was going faster and faster. Then all I was thinking about was what I was feeling, instead. It was amazing.” She continues.
“And what did you figure out?” Lexie asks as she brings her cup up to her mouth.
“That I friggin love that feeling and want it again!” Catherine downs her juice and sighs in contentment. “Also, that I need to pick up some new hobbies. I used to race the dirt track; they have a paved track not far from here. I was thinking about checking it out later after I check in on Mom.” She sets her glass down on the coffee table.
“You still seem upset about the break-up. I realize you guys were together a year, but you got to move on. How long has it been since the break-up? A month? You need to start seeing people. I know you do escort, but I mean for you personally. We all have needs, girl.” Lexie says matter of fact. Then she giggles.
“I don’t have time for a boyfriend right now. Plus, I’m stressed to the max, there’s no way I could support a healthy relationship right now.” Catherine says rolling her eyes.
“Okay, then maybe you need a part-time lover or have a few one-night stands. There’s no shame in that.” Lexie smiles suggestively.
“Whoa, Lexie! I don’t think I could do that. I have only slept with three guys my whole life. First was my high school sweetheart, that jock in college then Danny. I’m not as wild and confident about my body as you are. I don’t know the first thing about that stuff. Where would I go? How do I choose the guy? How do I make it worth my time? You know guys don’t care if the women have an orgasm in those situations.” Catherine exclaims.
Lexie laughs then says, “I can give you some pointers. I can tell you how to do all those things, even making sure the guy will make you c*m. Plus, if you like the rush you got this morning, then you’ll definitely enjoy the one you get having s*x with someone you hardly know.” Lexie smiles wickedly.
Catherine giggles, “Lexie, I swear you’re the devil on my shoulder. Okay, let us hear these pointers. “She makes air quotes in the air.
Lexie goes on for an hour explaining how to have a one-night stand. Starting with reading body language, they way he speaks to you, and how he reacts to being touched. Then she moved on to how to have an orgasm during a “quickie”. The secret, s****l tension. She claims the more s****l tension built up the faster you will climax.
I guess that makes sense. Catherine thought.
Then Lexie explains all the places a man likes to be touch that turns them on; soft skin behind the ears, back of the neck, in their hair, the skin right above the belt buckle. Once the tension is at the breaking point find some where to have s*x. She recommends giving oral or grabbing him to release his pressure. Nine times out of ten a man is not going to go through all that for a blow job. So he’ll still want s*x.
Catherine crinkles her nose. “I’m not putting anyone’s d**k in my mouth I hardly know. At least he would be wearing a rubber when we have s*x. That’s a little too personal.”
“Okay, okay chill. You’re on some kind of birth control, right? You should still use rubbers. You should get name brand condoms for average sized men. If a man needs the extra-large, they usually have their own.” Lexie continues.
“Yes, I use the shot birth control. I can get rubbers, not a problem. I just don’t know if this is worth it, Lexie. My bike won’t get me pregnant, I mean, that's kind of like playing with fire.” Catherine says as she fidgets and bites her nails.
“That’s what makes it exciting. Trust me, you'll see what I mean when you try it. You can always back out at any time. Most guys want s*x, they are just waiting for the woman to give them the green light. I know a great place to try for your first time, your sister’s wedding!” Lexie just about jumps in Catherine’s lap with excitement.
“What?! You have got to be kidding me. What kind of single man goes to a wedding to pick up women?” Catherine shoves Lexie back.
“Men looking for a one-night stand. It’s perfect, guys crash a wedding to hook up with the bride’s maids or other single family members. Pick one that you find attractive, when it comes time to dance, get him on the floor. Then casually bump, grind, and flirt your way into his pants. Don’t force it, let it flow. It’s fun and you’ll be satisfied.” Lexie finish by crossing her arms.
“You make it sound so easy. And besides, I don’t know if I am going to Tammy’s wedding. We have never gotten along, and she’s marrying some rich guy who owns a bunch of clubs. So, it’s going to be all fancy. I think I would feel out of place. Which also means any single men at this wedding is going to be way out of me league. Like I would be able to seduce a guy like that.” Catherine’s insecurities are flaring up again.
She always thought she was fat. Her friends and her mother always tell her she is beautiful and just healthy looking. But she could pinch a roll of fat from her belly, not a whole lot, but enough to jiggle. She thinks her face is too round, her cheekbones too high, her thighs and backseat too large. Even though she is 5’5” and weighs 165, she thinks she should weigh 135 or 140. They tell her she would look sick if lost that amount of weight.
“How many times do I gotta tell you, Kit-Kat! You are beautiful. You could have any guy you wanted with the right amount of confidence. Woman have to dye their hair to get that color of red that you have naturally, and I would kill for eyes like yours. So what, you are a full figured woman?! Believe it or not, there are men who like meat on a woman’s body. You are not fat; you need to get that out of your head. Damn you aggravate me when you put yourself down like that.” Lexie growls turning away.
Lexie stands and grabs Catherine’s cup and puts it in the sink. “You better get going before your mother starts to wonder where you are. Tell her I love her.”
Catherine jumps up quickly. She had almost forgotten. She grabs her keys to her bike and throws on her helmet. She blows a kiss as she exits the apartment.
“Don’t break any speed limits girlfriend!” Lexie calls after her.
