I’m sorry

Nilian POV How the hell could I forget her there, thank goodness one of the warriors saw her walking towards the waterfall and reported it to me. “Alpha, I’m finished, you can see her now.” Dr Khan said. She has cuts and bruises all over her hands and feet from what I could see. Her hair is filled with dry leaves and her skirt and top filled with dust and dirt. “I’m sorry Lilian, I totally forgot about meeting you.” “Nilian it’s ok, I just want to head home, can I leave.” “I just have a couple questions to ask you before you could leave. Alpha protocol.” “Really, you have a couple of questions to ask me.” “It’s the stupidest thing, I know but it’s Alpha protocol.” “Ok, after class I went to the waterfall to help the soon to be Alpha Nilian West with studying. After waiting for about an hour and more he was a no show so I decided to leave. While walking back home I was attacked by a troll who tried to kill me,but luckily Alpha West who was supposed to be there remembered me thanks to the help of warrior Jacob and I was rescued. “Take out what you think doesn’t sound good and replace it with your lies, I’m leaving.” As she grabs her bag pack and head towards the door I grab her by the arm bringing her to a stop. “I’m sorry, I….” “Listen, I’m willing to help you but not at the expense of my own life. Your already have your life figured out and going for you. I just want to graduate my classes in two months and leave.” She pulls her arm from my hand and walks out the door. After the incident was recorded and handed over to my dad, I made my way over to the pack house. Warrior Jacob approached me as I walked in, handing me two books and a handful of papers. “I went back and got them for her, figured she would need these.” “Thanks.” “You don’t mind dropping them off for her right, I know you both attend the same school.” “It’s cool I’ll give them to her.” I pat him on the shoulder and continue on. As the night went on I couldn’t help but feel like my apology needed to be heard again by her. So I grabbed a hoodie her books and headed over to her house. At the front door I could hear her and her mom arguing, so deciding it wasn’t the best time I turned around to leave but stopped when I heard the pain in her voice. “All I’m asking is if you could help me up the stairs to my room please.” Lilian asked. “And all I asked was if you didn’t play with the oven, but you did and now your father isn’t here to help either of us.” “Mom, how many times do I have to tell you I didn’t.” “And how many times did I tell you I’m not helping you.” A door slams shut and all I could hear in the dead silence of the little brick house at the edge of the pack is faint sobs. “Help her.” West grumbled. “And how do you suppose I do that, I’m not breaking in her house.” “Not through the front door but through. the window.” “What, no.” “Then I’ll do it.” Before I could finish contesting he takes control and I land on the roof near the opening of a bedroom window. My heart started beating out of my chest as I moved closer to the opening, what if it’s her mom's room, what if she sees me. “Relax dummy, it’s her room.” West barks as I climb in and stand near the bed, her room is different. Different to my sister and definitely different to Sarshas. Instead of pink and puffy it’s green and earthy and blue and watery if that explains it. After checking out the room for a couple seconds, I slowly opened the bedroom door and walked to the stairwell where I saw her sitting with her head in her hands. “Hey.” Her head snaps back at me causing her to off balance on the stairwell and she rolls to the bottom of the stairs.. “Ohh shit.” I hurry down and help her up. “What the hell, what… How did you get into my house.” “West bought me through your bedroom window.” “I did not.” He said taking her by surprise, I know he did because it startled everyone when he talks.” “What are you doing here?” “I came to drop your books and figured I’d help you to your room. I heard you and your mom while standing at the front door.” “Great.” She throws her hand over my shoulder and drops her head in shame. “Your room is different, compared to others I mean.” “I’ll take that as a compliment, seeing that I don’t know what others' rooms look like.” I drop her on the bed and push the books towards her. “Jacob actually went back for them and asked me to give them to you.” “Ohh, can you tell him I said thanks.” “Sure, so what’s the deal with both of you? are you like ex-bf and gf or something? His eyes sparkled when he mentioned your name.” I lied just being pushy trying to chicken out of apologizing. “Jacob, no he was one of the few wolves that spoke to me when I first arrived.” “And?” “We just stopped talking once he joined the warriors i guest and I didn’t want anyone picking at him for talking to the packs freak.” “Understandable.” I turn in her direction and she looks at me deadpan. “You're no more a freak than old man grey beard at the edge of our mountain. You're just different, and some people fear different things.” “Hmm, thanks.” “About tonight, I’m really sorry again and I hope you could still find it in your heart to help me.” “It’s ok, and I don’t mind helping you by just not doing it at the waterfall.” “Understood.” “How about this? I tutor you at old man greybeards place.” “What.. you do know no one goes near those Mountains?” “I do, I’ll talk to him and he has a huge field. So you could teach me how to win a race.” She smiled. Maybe it’s for the best and that way no one would have to see us together and old man greybeard ground is protected so we shouldn’t run until trouble there . ——————————————————————- DEN OF THE TROLLS. THIRD PERSON POV. “Master, it’s grumbles. He tried attacking one of Blossom moons pack members and they killed him.” “I see.” Master greenslim rose from his seat pelting the golden plate of fresh fruits in front of him, his hands big and strong began beating at the wall next to him as he released a frustrating scream. “Why can’t any of you do things right, all I ask is that you avenge my brother by killing one, just one stinking mutt and that can’t happen.” He runs over and slaps the container that holds the dust grumbles turned into. “That’s not all, master.” “There’s more, go on and report the failure.” “The ancient stones that holds the two element has returned.” Master greenslim spins around and looks him dead in his eyes, the fear as visible as it could be. With his teeth shaking and body sweating he asked. “Where is it?” “At Bloosom moon pack, the girl has them as eyes.” “Does she..” “It doesn’t seem so.” “How do you know?” “Because the Alpha was the one that who killed grumbles, not her.”
