Meet Rose`

Once I closed the doors of my apartment I sprinted for the shower not once believing what had just happened in my boss’s car. I’m such a hoe, I’m the one who initiated all of that. I shouldn’t have succumbed to my feelings and shown my weakness which is him calling my name. Tomorrow is going to be so awkward because I know for a fact that I’m still not ready to admit my little crush to him and I know he doesn’t need this too. I got out of the shower and slid into my pajamas then headed to the kitchen to make myself dinner. I was famished so I just made myself a chicken wrap and hot chocolate. After eating while watching my favorite show Lucifer i called Rose` reminding her about tomorrow’s interview. Since I quit at the restaurant I made it my responsibility to find Joe another assistant manager and since Rose`was unhappy at her old job I talked to Joe and he agreed to interview her so she quit and she’s moving in with me tomorrow morning. Her interview is in the afternoon because that’s when Joe will be available because of his busyness. Exciting right? I know. We’ve always planned in high school of how we will live together and even be neighbors after marriage but you know life happened and I think it’s happening again because the time is 9:31 pm which means the morning hours are approaching which also means I’ll have to see my hunk of a boss. I get in my bed with my mind still in this mess I created, never once did I ever think I’d be involved with my moss and actually enjoy it. I’m so dead! Sleep was my escape to all these thoughts as I felt myself dip more into my pillow and eyes closing.

******Morning******

I woke up exactly at 6am even before my alarm went off. I guess I was anxious to hear from my boss after yesterday. I made my way to the shower after taking out clothes for work. I felt a little gloomy today I don’t know it’s like I was going to be delivered bad news. By 7am I was finished preparing and was about to start my breakfast making when I heard a knock. Well that’s a first, I’ve never had visitors before except for Mrs Simpson unless it’s her again. I was hesitant to go open so i listened again making sure even though the knock was loud enough. I was waiting for someone to knock again when I saw the door handle turn and my heartbeat went on a riot but after my best friend came in view I was relieved.

‘ROSE`! Don’t ever do that again. What if I hit you with a pan or something.’ I said running to her engulfing her in a tight hug. I missed this girl in my arms.

‘ okay okay I know you’ll start crying so you better stop.’ She said pushing me away from her, she hated tears or just showing emotion. I was a true Cancer and she was a true Gemini. She always tried to make me feel good about myself and make jokes to make laugh but once she meets strangers she doesn’t really know what to say to them than telling the truth of how she feels. If you looked dirty or smelled at school she would tell you and I was always the one left embarrassed. I loved her either way.

‘ I thought you were going to arrive maybe at 10am I was planning on leaving the keys for you.’

‘ yeah for the first time I actually woke up right? It’s called getting your s**t together in my mom’s words.’ We laughed at that.

‘ aw I miss her, how is she doing?’

‘ you know same old workaholic.’ she said shrugging. Yeah, that was a different story. They loved each other and I adored Ms White too but she was sometimes too busy for her only daughter and she never really gets the time to show us her goofy personality because she’ll always working but I do have some memories growing up with them. I decided to change the subject and went to show her to her room helping her with the luggage.

‘ thank you Rory for letting me crash really.’

‘ it’s okay i missed you and it’s not like you don’t have your own money stop making it sound like you got kicked out.’

‘plus we’ve always wanted to live together.’ I said hugging her kissing her cheeks.

‘ uh I think something is burning.’ She said pushing me away.

‘ I would’ve smelled something too you know? I know you think affection is awkward but I’m your friend. I’m not going to f**k you.’ She burst of laughing.

‘ uh do you even know how to fuck.? Oh please, I was about to reply to her when my phone chimed alerting me about a message. I went over to take it and saw Rose` taking over my breakfast and just smiled. She always said I eat like a mouse is eating so I know she was going to bring a full plate of breakfast and luckily it’s my favorite time of eating.

‘Ms Marcello, don’t come in today. I’m also not coming in but I want you to come with me to this function in the evening (6pm). Dress on its way.

I don’t know how many times I read that message but it just didn’t make any sense or was I tripping? It was so vague and rushed it’s like he didn’t even want to talk to me also why didn’t he just call so that the million questions I have in my head can be answered? I was starting to get furious my mind telling me I told you he was a d**k!

‘What function? It’s such short notice! Also why would you choose a dress for me?’ How did you know my size?’

I put the phone down after replying and joined Rose` before she notices me being too occupied with my phone. We helped each other make a hearty breakfast and sat down in the dining room.

‘ it feels good finally eating with someone.’ I said smiling at her.

‘ yeah especially if that person is me.’ I rolled my eyes even though I knew it was slightly true.

‘ anyways tell me about this Joe and the restaurant what should I expect?’ I was about to answer her when my phone chimed again.

‘ Business function Ms Marcello not that I answer to you now? How would I not? After my hands explored every inch?’

My heart rate was at it again and this time it was between being flushed and angry. ‘Not that I answer to you now?’ He said that to me? And the last message had memories of yesterday flooding in my mind.

‘I’ll come pick you up at 5:30pm sharp. No more questions.’ was his other message. I was probably red with anger right now. Are we back to being assholes now or was this his way to tell me he didn’t like what happened yesterday? Either way, he was being an asshole.

‘AURORA MARCELLO!!’ That was Rose` snapping me back to life and out of my trance of contemplating between texting back or what.

‘ what the hell is wrong with you? I’ve been taking to myself.’ She says looking a little concerned than pissed.

‘ uh it’...it’s just that I was all ready for work but my boss says I have the day off.’

‘ and that’s what make you gloomy?’ She said looking confused as hell I hated lying to her but she’d hunt Sebastian down and slit his throat.

‘ yeah I could be sleeping if he told me earlier than this morning but I just feel like he’s... never mind.’ I say taking my plate to the sink

‘ no he’s what? Tell me?’ I guess it won’t hurt to tell your best friend the truth right?

‘ he’s avoiding me.’ All I heard was screams after my short confession and I covered my ears from the damage and when I saw her relax I uncovered them looking at her wanting to kill her. I hate noises!

‘ what was that about.’ I said asking the person in front of me who still wore a dramatic shocked expression.

‘ you got laid by Sebastian Condos? That’s why I thought you glowing when I got here but I was like no she doesn’t even know what d**k looks like let alone taste.’ She was laughing at her own silly joke.

‘ okay chill no one wants to know what d**k tastes like...’

‘ you sure?’ I was getting pissed.

‘ and no way in hell I’m f*****g my BOSS!’ I said the last word a little louder and that shocked missy in front of me who was bold to assume about my s*x life.

‘ hey relax, they why would he avoid you?’ She said in a mocking and knowing tone.

‘ we kinda kissed.’ I said already tired of the conversation.

‘KINDA? Was there tongue involved?’ I nodded now regretting everything about yesterday but at least I’m not showing it like him with a message!

‘ then it was not kinda b***h it was f**k me now in this office.’ she said making f*****g movements laughing and enjoying my misery.

‘ it was in the car.’ I rolled my eyes.

‘Ha even better. I bet you were on top of him.’

‘ stop enjoying this and making fun of me okay. As much as I enjoyed it I regret it because the messages show how he regrets it too.’

‘ so you enjoye...’ I shot her a death stare.

‘ okay okay let me see the messages .’ I passed her my phone.

‘ he sounds like a dick.... aww but he brought you a dress.’ she said looking at me dreamy.

‘ what? You can’t be under his spell too! He didn’t have the right to do that I can afford my own dress.’

‘ okay tell you what? Let go shopping for a dress before my interview in the afternoon just so you can piss him a little.’

‘ as if he’ll care if I wear it or what.’ I said bored.

‘ if he doesn’t I know his little member will care because you’re hot and after I give you a makeover you’ll be hotter he’ll c*m in his pants.’ Rose said then burst into laughter, I didn’t find it funny at all.
