Chapter 9 For the fourth time, Jessie reached for the handle to step out of the car. And for the fourth time, she drew her hand back again. Her phobia didn’t affect her ability to drive a car. Knowing people didn’t really look at each other’s faces while driving was one of the only reasons she could make the drive from Chicago. Getting out of the car away from home, though, was still another matter. Causy whined and nudged her shoulder, reminding her they still sat in the parking lot of the cemetery.
