Damon knocked on the door and waited for Lana to answer. She stood on the side of the bed folding her clothes and putting them away. The room was dull and cold, with the wind blowing in from the open window.   " Aren't you cold?" He asked feeling the chill as he stepped further into the room.   She looked at him and put her clothes aside. " Nah, I needed to air the room. Can I help you?"   Damon cleared his throat and sat on the edge of the bed. " I know being up here is a little strange without everyone else, and you're probably thinking back on all the things we used to do together."   "A little, but what are you getting at?" she asked.   Damon handed her the gift bag. "It is not that time of year, and I'm not dragging a gigantic tree in here, so this is to make up for it.
