Lily's POV
Emotional Turmoil
“No, Dad. I just got stuck up on a team project in school. It wasn't an intentional movement.”
I hold back the strong urge I feel to nag. I mean, there are many things I feel my dad should be letting me do, but his protectiveness limits me a lot, and I wonder what he must be so scared of.
I know he's barely scared by anything. I don't think it's in my place to bother myself about why he is very protective of me.
“But you should have called home. I mean, that's also why Irina is supposed to be with you, but you will never be so truthful to her.” Dad says, turning away from me, heading up the stairs that lead to the main entrance.
