Hidden Lie
“You know, I think this is not the best time to have this conversation.”
Knowing how hard it might be for Damon to agree with me on who I think my mate is, I decide that it's best I keep myself from continuing that particular conversation. At least, till I'm sure of what my fate will be.
"Why?" he finally speaks.
Alpha Kegan's car drives in at that same moment, moving our attention from the conversation to his arrival.
I didn't even know he had gone out.
While Beta Damon stood up to welcome him, I couldn't help but watch how the leg of a female seemed to be walking out of the car after him.
