“You should have at least told me how sick you felt last night. I didn't like that I was being challenged by your dad.”
Irina take it up as though the bigger deal was the fact that she seemed unaccountable for me like my dad expected her to be.
As much as she has almost become my mum with how lovely she acts, she's just my best friend. I don't see why she should be that accountable for me.
I mean, I care for myself as well.
Not trying to make a big deal out of that, I calmly say to her, “You know what? We both had a long day, but I just needed time to stay away from seeing Phil at the academy today; that's why I asked Damon to help me find a way.”
