Lily's POV
Conflicted Desire
It's been moments into my conversation with Damon, and I feel like things might actually get better for me, but it's hard to shake off the thought that I would let things unfold however they need to without trying so hard, whether it favours me or not.
“I'm going to let him be too. Phil is taking a lot of my attention, and if he really loves me, he will come to me when he feels better. I think I have chased him well enough.”
Damon nods his head and doesn't go further to fill me with more advice.
I needed to actually come to this realization by myself.
“Can you come up with something for me? I don't want to go to the academy tomorrow. I'm really having it so hard.”
