Lily's POV
I did not understand the weight of war that resides within Moon Howl until Andre couldn't take another step after standing fully on our land.
I walk out of the car and head over to him. “Is anything the matter? Do you feel okay?”
His eyes have a blank stare as they meet with mine. I know what I see in his eyes is more of a reminiscence of all the hard things he must have encountered on this ground.
Andre didn't look like the Andre I was speaking to earlier. The one who wanted to protect me or keep me safe. He stares like a warrior who just arrived at his battlefield.
