Andre's POV
A Silent Guilt
Lily doesn't know how hard it is for me to look into her eyes because I feel angry for being a little too weak to tear apart those who tried to lay a hand on her, just like I'd have loved to.
I hate myself that I did not protect her the right way.
Just after she challenges me, I slowly raise my head and look in her direction.
The daring glare in her eyes meets mine just like I had expected.
“I'm not avoiding you.” I move a step closer to her, a little too close for comfort.
Jake turns, looking away from us as though he were to stand as a watchguard for us. I know he just didn't feel comfortable watching me.
