Chapter Thirty-Eight
Lily's POV
An Unusual Meeting
It is late at night. I have spent most of my time after classes are over in the room.
My stomach churns, and I know I have to go out and get something to eat.
I unlock my door and press down on the door knob carefully, hoping I do not meet anyone. I knew they could be asleep already, or everyone must just be busy in their respective rooms.
As I walk down the hallway, I hear a low discussion between two people coming from my dad's study.
My dad would never have discussions that are business-related or a matter so delicate at home.
I don't know why but he keeps his information outside the four walls of our building.
The strong urge to walk over to the door and eavesdrop on what the conversation could be about.
