Andre's POV
The Instinct Call
“Let's get going.” I say to Jake, who stayed quiet all through the hours we spent waiting for Lily to show up.
I know she could have trouble leaving home, which was why I decided to wait that long.
But I couldn't shrug off the strong unease I feel in my belly and I couldn't place why.
“Do you still have my bike in the car?” I ask Jake. I didn't want to bother him about it – which could actually be nothing.
“Yes.”
“Get it out for me. I need to take a short ride.”
“By yourself?” Jake stands to his feet. “You should take one of the guards. You're a little too weak to be out here all by yourself. I can as well follow you. I slept while you were resting earlier today.”
I look around and think of what Jake had said.
