IT WAS LOW TIDE. THE force of the waves against the shore was minimal. Cabal, Sarah and Nicole swam toward a deserted area where the rocks lined the shore. Nicole climbed easily out of the water onto the large rocks. Cabal reached the rocks first and pushed Sarah out of the water. She scrambled up the rocks after Nicole. Cabal climbed up next to them. He carefully sat the swords on a flat rock and said, “We need water and two hats.” Sarah looked at him only then realizing he must have lost his cap when they dove in the water. Nicole reached the top of the rocks first and peered over the edge. There was a small group of humans sitting on the beach watching their children play in the sand.
