THE NORBOTDS LEAD THEM to a narrow opening in the cliff base. As soon as they entered the tunnel the norbotds disappeared into the darkness. Sarah was human so could see only blackness. She walked slowly behind Cabal with a firm handhold on his belt.
Nicole moved quickly ahead of them following the norbotds. When Sarah relaxed and became used to blindly following Cabal, they increased their pace. It took less than two hours to move through the bulk of the cliff before the tunnel began to climb.
Sarah thought she was hallucinating when a small flash of light suddenly appeared then vanished before them. Cabal reached behind him and took hold of her hand. “Stand very still,” He whispered as the light appeared again and illuminated the area around them.
