“ I…” Ji Siya was taken aback for a moment. Obviously, she hadn't expected Rong Yan to question her in such a manner. After all, compared with everyone's hostile attitude, she was now speaking up for Rong Yan. Logically, Rong Yan should have regarded her as a benefactor and been grateful, yet she was being questioned with such hostility.
The others snapped back to reality and were clearly also pondering this issue. Ji Siya distinctly sensed the change in everyone's expressions and grew anxious. At the same time, she shot a meaningful glance at another boy beside her.
The boy understood and reached out, picking up the prepared stick and swinging it directly at Rong Yan.
Seeing this, Ji Siya let out a scream, “Watch out!” Then she lunged towards Rong Yan, attempting to shield her from the attack with her own body.
The moment Ji Siya pounced, however, Rong Yan sidestepped nimbly and, with a swift kick, landed her foot squarely on the boy's abdomen.
With a thud, the boy was sent sprawling to the ground.
Ji Siya: “…”
The others: “…”
Damn it! Who the hell said this girl was weak and easy to bully? Who could possibly withstand this?
The boy grimaced in pain, trying to get up, but to his dismay, a foot came down hard on him. He struggled to rise, only to find that the foot on his chest felt like a thousand pounds, pinning him firmly in place.
“Let me go!” The boy growled coldly, glaring fiercely at Rong Yan.
However, as soon as his words fell, Rong Yan pressed down harder with her foot. The boy's face contorted in agony.
The others: “…” They took a silent step back.
Ji Siya grew nervous. Observing everyone's reactions, she quickly addressed Rong Yan, “Rong Yan, we're all classmates. You can't bully people like this.”
After speaking, she turned to the boy on the ground and said in a gentle tone, “Student Du, Rong Yan didn't mean it. Don't be angry. I'll apologize for her. I hope you can forgive her. She—”
“Get lost!” Rong Yan cut her off, her voice icy and devoid of any emotion. The intense murderous aura made Ji Siya's words catch in her throat.
“Are you f*****g blind? Didn't you see he attacked first? You're good at stirring up trouble for me!” Rong Yan stared at her sarcastically. “Apologize for me? Who do you think you are? Do you even deserve it?”
Ji Siya's complexion instantly turned ugly. She was so enraged by Rong Yan's scathing sarcasm that her face flushed red.
“You, how could you be like this? Clearly, I was helping you!” Ji Siya's eyes welled up with tears, looking pitiful and endearing.
Rong Yan regarded her mockingly. “Helping me? I'd like to ask you, where was the help?”
Ji Siya paused, opened her mouth, and under Rong Yan's indifferent gaze, she summoned the courage to say, “When everyone was against you, I was the only one speaking up for you…”
“What did you say? That I should apologize?” Rong Yan sneered. “I don't even know what I did wrong. Why should I apologize?”
Ji Siya's expression soured as she continued, “When Student Du was about to hit you, I offered to block it for you—”
Rong Yan curled her lips. “This boy, you hired him, didn't you?”
“You're lying!” Ji Siya denied hastily, her face betraying panic.
“Am I lying?” Rong Yan tilted her head, her expression unruly and fierce. She slowly withdrew her gaze and fixed it on the boy beneath her foot, a smirk playing on her lips, yet her eyes were devoid of any mirth. “You have one minute to clarify your relationship with Ji Siya!”
Although Ji Siya was flustered, she didn't think the boy lying on the ground would betray her.
However, unbeknownst to everyone, as Rong Yan uttered those words to the boy, the pressure of her foot on his chest increased.
