Chapter 4-----Return A year later, I returned to Virelia as a well-known fashion designer. I had been part of the design team for the famous fashion brand MP, and this time I was invited to attend their runway show. Before the event, Ms. Johnson asked me, "Are you ready?" "There's nothing to prepare. I've long forgotten about the past." "Good." When I arrived at the venue, I went backstage to check the outfits, but by chance, I ran into Tina. She looked at me, slightly stunned. I smiled and gave her a small nod. Not long after, I returned to my seat to watch the show. What I didn"t expect was for Elliot to appear. He took the seat next to Tina, and from the moment he arrived, his eyes never left me. I told myself I didn't care anymore, but his gaze still made my skin crawl. When the show ended, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. As I stood by the sink, I overheard two women chatting nearby. "Did you see Mr. Grant? He actually came to watch the show with Tina. Do you think something's going on between them?" "Wait, isn't Tina married?" "She got divorced recently. I heard Mr. Grant stuck by her side through her tough times." "Looks like they've finally worked things out." "Yeah, it seems like it." I heard them, but I felt nothing. I just applied some lipstick and walked out. But at the door, I ran into an unexpected guest—Elliot. I was going to ignore him and walk past, but he grabbed my hand. "When did you come back?" "Why does it matter to you?" Elliot suddenly smiled. "Good, Chloe. You've grown a spine." "What's it to you, Mr. Grant?" I said sarcastically. "And by the way, let go of my hand. Your love is watching you!" "Elliot!" Tina called him gently. I didn't feel like watching their flirting, so I walked away. I had bought an apartment in the city. I unpacked my bags and took a shower. Then the doorbell started ringing. Again. And again. Relentless. When I opened the door, Elliot is standing there. He rushed in, pushing me against the wall and kissing me forcefully. I struggled with all my might, but he held my hands tightly to the wall, kissing me even harder. The memory of it still made my blood boil. Fueled by a wave of fury, I shoved him away with everything I had. "Elliot, are you out of your mind?" "Hmph, out of my mind? I'd like to know what kind of illness I have!" "If you're in the mood, go find Tina, and don't forget we've broken up." Elliot sneered. "Broken up? Did I agree to that?" "I don't need you agreement. Please leave my house." "Alright, Chloe. You're tough." He said and walked out.
