Chapter 5-----Entanglement Thanks to the successful collaboration with the MP brand, the brand's director requested to work with me again and offered me the opportunity to become their exclusive designer. Today, I was going to sign the contract. When I arrived at the MP director's office, I ran into Tina. "Hello, Mr. Evans." I greeted him while shaking his hand. "Chloe, let me introduce you to a new colleague, Tina Reynolds, she's one of our new designers." "Hello, Miss Reynolds." I smiled and greeted Tina. "Hello, Miss White." "We're planning to launch a theme show for Valentine's Day, of course, the designs need to fit the theme of the holiday. So, both of you need to submit your designs to me within the next two months. We'll select the best designs for the theme show. This is your big chance to make a name for yourselves. Are you both okay with that?" Mr. Evans said. "No problem!" I didn't linger there and went downstairs right away. Just then, Elliot pulled up in his car and asked, "Where are you going? I'll give you a ride." "No need." Elliot sighed helplessly, walked up to me, and started to coax me in a softer tone. "Chloe, please don't be mad. It was my fault before. I didn't consider your feelings. Please forgive me." "Mr. Grant, have you finished talking? Tina is about to come down. Don't mistake who you're talking to." I sneered. Just as I said that, Tina appeared and immediately ran over to Elliot, grabbing his hand. "Elliot, are you here to pick me up?" Tina said sweetly. Elliot glanced at me, but I had no time to listen to their flirtations. I turned and walked away. Suddenly, Elliot pulled his hand away from Tina, strode up to me, grabbed my arm, and walked me towards his car, while calling out to Tina, "I've called a driver to take you home." Without another word, he shoved me into the passenger seat and drove off, with Tina still standing behind. "Are you crazy? Where are you taking me?" He didn't respond. I could see the cold look on his face, and I knew he was holding back his anger. I didn't feel like talking to him. I watched as he drove me to his villa. He dragged me out of the car and up the stairs, pushing me into the room I used to stay in. "What are you doing?" I shouted. "You'll find out soon enough." He pulled off his tie, advancing toward me. Before I could react, he pushed me onto the bed and kissed me roughly. The more I struggled, the harder he became. His lips traced along my cheek, lightly licking my earlobe, slowly moving down to kiss my neck. I felt ashamed of my own response, and perhaps hearing my quiet sobs, he immediately stopped and sat on the bed. "Do you really hate me that much?" I didn't answer. When I calmed down, I quickly put on my shoes and planned to go home, but he grabbed my arm. "You're not going anywhere. If you try, I'll just lock you up in the room again." "Try it and see if you're holding a person, or a corpse." His eyes widened in shock and pain as he took a few steps back. I didn't care anymore and hurriedly left to go home. Back at home, I reflected on everything that had happened over the past few days, my heart filled with anger and sadness. I had tried to part on good terms with him, without any entanglements, so why did he have to humiliate me like this?
