CHAPTER THREE

1032 Words
Inside the crimson Bar, the lights were enchanting.  Several scantily clad women had their eyes on Prince, giving him leering looks. There was no doubt that they were really yearning for him. Everyone knew who exactly Prince was. Right then a bold woman walked up to him, wanting to try her luck. With a wine glass in her hand, she said to him, “ Mr. Bane, let me propose a toast to you.” Seeing that there were no signs of anger from Prince, she felt a glimmer of hope. Boosted by confidence, she sat down, wrapping her arms around him. The strong scent of perfume wafted into his nose, and a deep furrow between his brows appeared on his face.  Immediately, he grabbed her wrist, tightening his grip on her.     “Argh!” With that, the woman let out a shriek of pain.  Hearing her shriek, he merely glanced at her, and a hint of disgust flashed across his face. “I don’t associate myself with filthy women.” As a result, the woman was left embarrassed. She wanted so badly to crawl into a hole and hide. Seeing the woman leave in a fluster, he did not even bother hiding his disgust for her anymore. This sort of thing happened quite frequently for him. He knew well that these women were only after his status. To gain an opportunity to get closer to him and gain benefits, they would fight amongst themselves. In the end, they were all ridiculed by him. And it was the same that day too. The image of the woman fleeting reminded Prince of Elizabeth and how she tried so hard to escape him. How dare she think of him as filthy?! It was the first time he had heard such a word coming from a woman. Who did she think she was? As this moment, Henry Norman dashed into the bar.  As soon as he found Prince, he leaned towards his side, whispering into his ear, “We’ve found Alison.” Just then, a sharp coldness flashed across Princes’ eyes. “Are you keeping a close eye on her?” He asked.  Nodding, Henry replied, “Yes. We can strike any moment.” “Let’s go!” As soon as Prince replied, he stood up and made his way to the exit with Henry following behind him. Despite their handsome good looks, no woman was brave enough to approach them as they gave off chilling aura. There was no doubt in Henry’s word when he said that they have found Alison.  Right then, all Prince wanted was to ask Alison why she ran away from their wedding. Soon they arrived at an abandoned workshop in the suburbs. The moonlight was obscured by the dense forest, causing darkness and silence to rule the area, in fact within the silence was strong killing intent.  A huge head to head was about to break down dozens of men in black surrounded the exits of the abandoned factory. As soon as Prince arrived, someone came to him, “Mr. Bane.” “Is john there?” Prince asked coldly, wearing a straight face. The man in black nodded. “He and a few of his subordinates are all here. It’s up to you to decide how to deal with them.” On the way here, Henry had explained the whole situation to Prince. It turned out that John Magnus was a man of many connections. Just as he was here in town for some business, he heard from someone about Princes’ name and wanted to pick a fight for some reason. To make sure Prince was up for it, he kidnapped Alison. All in all, Alison wasn’t deliberately running away from marriage, so Prince held no grudge against her. He wanted to save her from john. Suddenly, a loud noise broke the silence of the night . “Sh*t!” Henry expression changed and he immediately commanded the men in black, “Charge in!” “The north exit has been attacked!” “Go to the north exit right now!” Right then Prince was as cold as ice. Hearing the update, he took the lead to charge in front of the men in black. When they arrived, at north exit, a man was leaning against the wall. With a wide arrogant grin on his face, he said, “Prince Bane! I’m giving you your woman back. Who knew she was just so- so?” After that he left under the protection of his man. Entering a well hidden SUV, they disappeared into the distance. Instead of going after John, Prince went straight into the workshop in search of Alison. In a pile of tiers, he found the unconscious Alison. Her face was slightly pale, and her eyes were closed. She looked just like a delicate porcelain doll “Send her to the hospital!” Prince ordered. Inside, he was cursing John for existence. “John Magnus, I will have plenty of chances to get even with you in the future!” He cursed.      Just as the sky was starting to brighten up, Elizabeth woke up with a slight headache, this time around she woke up even without her alarm. Noticing the opened window, she realized that she had been sleeping in the cold for the entire night. With that she blamed herself for her inability to take good care of herself. Giving herself a light knock on the head, she reminded herself that she should be already mentally prepared to spend the day by herself since she knew Prince was not coming home. On the other side, Clara was looking gloomy. Perhaps it was due to Prince not returning home that Clara’s gaze was different from normal when she saw Elizabeth. To brighten her day, Elizabeth cracked some jokes with her, distracting her from the thought of Prince. Just as Elizabeth was having breakfast, the phone in the living room rang. Instantaneously, Clara’s eyes lit up. “It must be Mr. Bane!” she said to herself. After saying that, she happily ran to pick the phone. However, her face fell as soon as she answered it.
