Does Eleanor have a son for the late Alpha Julio?” one elder screamed at Calisto. “A bastard cannot take the place of our true Alpha!” another snarled, clearly referring to Julian. Violet simply sat there in silence, watching everything unfold with calm detachment. Before Eleanor could fire another question through the mind-link, I slammed it shut. Instantly, a wave of distress slammed into me—not mine, but Idara’s. It grew stronger by the second. I turned sharply to Danae, who was already pulling out her phone.
