Chapter SixAgnes slept soundly that night. She had been so tired, not even a tank running through the room would have stirred her. When she woke, she felt quite refreshed and ready for whatever the day might bring. She showered, dressed, and set off downstairs for breakfast. Larry, the young lift attendant who she met on her last visit, hadn't been on duty the previous day. But he was he was back at work this morning and looked as smart as ever in his uniform. The only thing missing was the hat, which came as part of the outfit. He had told her he hated wearing it. Once he checked in, he would place the hat in his locker for the rest of the day.
